Oscar could see the girl deliberating as she glanced from the stage to the door and back again as though the head mistress would suddenly appear in a puff of sulphur smoke.
When she finally agreed to get a drink with him one side of Oscar's mouth quirked upwards in a sexy triumphant smirk, "Good girl." He said rising to his feet and throwing his coat back on.
Oscar held the door open for Maristela who preceded him back out into the cold.
"Brrr," He commented smacking his hands together and blowing on them, "It's brass monkeys out here." Oscar took hold of Maristela's hand and popped it through the crook of his elbow, "Stick close sweets, I'll keep you warm."

Oscar took Maristela to the café on a roundabout route that allowed the cold air to thoroughly chill them to the bone. It was a tried and tested technique that worked in that Oscar's chosen prey got an in depth tour of the campus, thought that Oscar was adorably attentive and they were so cold that they'd spend a lot longer with him than they'd first planned. It gave Oscar some much needed extra time to get to know them, find out what they were into and find out what it took to get into their pants.
"It's on me darling," Oscar said as he waited for Maristela to answer.

LOCATION:
The male students' bathroom of the academy ➔ On his way to the Theatre Hall ➔ Theatre Hall

,,Ouch ! What in the w-...", a male voice speckled with a defiant, unmistakable French accent rang out, enlivening the school's otherwise dull and forlorn corridors. And where was everybody ? Was it way too early for students to wander the halls ? ,,Have I grown taller or what ?!", the same young man mumbled in a visibly confused tone as he looked up to the top rail of the door that was leading to the men's bathroom. He smiled in disbelief at the thought, feeling that the number that described his age and a still ripening body didn't go together, although it was biologically accurate. It was, however, a paradoxical situation - believing that the possibility of growing up was strictly related to teenagers, which he was not, physically, anymore; yet still being aware of the uncontrollable childlike behaviour that characterized him so well.

,,Frontal lobe, isn't that right, mom ?", he simply and rethorically asked his mirror reflection while stroking the frontmost region of his head lightly. His mother, as well as his father, was a surgeon, so even a learning resistant student like him was supposed to know a bit of anatomy. His parents made sure of that; they used to frequently ask him different questions related to this domain. Those were one of the most ,,affectionate" discussions of the short ones they had together. Since they were so busy, they considered that the precious time spent on their offspring should help him form him as an adult, and form his personality, which they believed was strongly related to knowledge. Little did they know -or wanted to know, to realize- that Accel was strongly disposed to learning idleness in most of the fields there ever existed.

Accel took out the phone from the left pocket of his black pants and proceeded to send a message that was meant to be mildly ironic.

{ Mom, I've just hit my head on the school's door frame.
Am I gonna die ?
 }

He knew that she will, most probably, not even have enough time to pay attention to her cellphone until weekend, and, if she did, she would be too busy to be able to respond the same day. However, he still did it so she would find out, sooner or later, that he was there, at school, one of the most prestigious schools in America and, possibly, in the world. And that he was... alive.

As it was the first morning of the new schoolyear and he wasn't used to strict schedules and acts of trying to appear sober -which have almost always ended up being unsuccessfull- anymore, he splashed his visage with cold water and then exited the male students' bathroom. Casually stepping on the educational edifice's lonesome marbled floors towards the Theatre Hall, he marveled at the imposing construction's interior like it was his first time, despite of him being a sophomore.
,,Hmm, I really should redraw the sketches of the academy...", he thought as he remembered how much he loved drawing it and the island it was situated on during daily school breaks. It was also an opportunity to see how much he improved his skills.

Finding himself in front of the door which led to the Theatre Hall, he pressed the door handle and entered the room. As it was still quite early, there weren't many present at the gathering yet. Smart, beautiful, young, rich people - they all had to meet there, all in one room, and only a small dose were coming into sight at that moment. But they all had to carry the same qualities; qualities desired by every human being to some extent, as they pointed out a probably placid, permissive and tamed life, a better and easier one as a whole. One full of opportunities and luxury and free from worries. Scanning the room in search for both known, unknown and new faces, Accel realized he wasn't friends with any of them. He had yet to discover the possessors of those visages if he wanted to further socialize. He shrugged to himself; he didn't mind starting new ties with another. Besides, whoever knew Accel was aware of the fact that he enjoyed to conversate a bit too much.

However, as soon as his eyes detected the piano that was being placed near the stage, he impulsively and briskly walked towards it, his eyes gleaming of burnished emerald and desire.
,,If anyone wants to sing along or play the piano with me, be my guest ! ... If not, that's fine.", he told the strangers while sitting on the comfortable tabouret, the fingers of his hands excitedly moving back and forth above the musical instrument's keyboard, tickling the air heated by the radiators and doing a quite silly, silent warm up. Piano wasn't the one of the instruments he was specialized in, but who cared ? It would be fun once actually touching the keys, or so the French young man was thinking.

Transition: Bachelor Pad to Theatre Hall

With a singular shake of his skull, Yanni left the latter to his chambers and made his way out and onto the campus. Breathing in the warm air he gazed at the sky in a cold hard manner. Lacking in the vital emotions of content at the moment, Yanni made his way to the Theatre hall in silence. Every now and then he stroked his furry friends head before adjusting his hood so that the chills would not get to the ferret. "This year... I hope it is actually worth the problems and grades to get here.." Being a freshman none the less, Yanni already started wagering the worth of his choice now that he was already inside. Taking hold of the door handle he swung it wide embracing the warmth of the heat inside of the building as well. Giving a light swallow he strolled down the halls towards the Theatre hall, passing the table for attendance he picked up his folder and went inside. At first he stopped to gaze at the odd patterns and style to which the room was fitted. 'How disgustingly exotic..' With raised brow, Dimitri peeked his head out of the hood with a yawn that did not matching his avid eyes.

The young ferret smelled people and where there were people, there was always some way to show off. With a wiggling passion of earnest, Dimitri crawled his way from around Yanni's neck into his sleeve and popped his head out once more. Resting his head against the humans upturned hand, Yanni only smirked and kissed the ferrets head before walking to take a seat in the mid section. Being silent and passing most by he made himself small in the eyes of everyone to avoid most contact for the time being. Every now and then Dimitri switched places from the left arm to the right arm often climbing down his shirt and to the waist line to sniff the chairs. Yawing heavily Yanni did the same while looking about for something to do besides reading the mundane information provided for him upon the paper. Frowning deeply there seemed to be a decent amount of free bodies loafing around and aiming to skip out once things began. The ratio if people nearest to the doors rather than in their seats was over whelming. Kicking his legs out he placed his left leg over the right giving off a professional air to his mannerisms and stature.

Location: Hall

Helvetica was sitting down on her butt, her camera out, scanning the Theatre. She had adjusted her hair into a bun, just to keep it out of her way.

There was nothing interesting around, save some kids getting up to move out or arriving - late, she noticed - into the Hall. There was no one she recognized, not that she cared enough to stare them down and try to remember. Her phone rang loudly, the tune of the Twilight Zone vibrating against the walls. She pulled it out of her pocket, checked the caller ID, and pressed the 'Answer' button.

"Yeah?"

"Hellie? This your Aunt Martha," a sour taste filled her throat. Aunt Martha was annoying, always telling her what to do, how to do it, and when or why it should be done. Of course, she never listened to the aging and senile woman, but her parents told her it was for the best.

"Yeah?" She repeated the same word to avoid conversation.

"Well, I'm calling to wish you a happy stay at the Academy." Helvetica almost laughed, that was totally not her reason for calling. She nodded, but after realizing that her Aunt was not in front of her but many miles away, she made a noise of gratitude and went to hang up.

However, she heard a yell come up from the speaker and placed the reciever to her mouth as her finger headed for the 'end call' button.

"Whaddaya want, Aunt Martha?"

"I just want to let you know that you should be doing your best and I would also like to tell you that Psychology is not a good minor because-" And that was when her finger came to rest on the 'End Call' button, Aunt martha's voice cut short.

Silencing her phone, Helvetica put it in her pocket. She wanted no interruptions.

Her video camera still on, she went to turn it off and delete all the footage that had been recorded. That was until some guy strode up to the stage and started playing the bloody freaking piano.

She wasn't a musician, and therefore didn't have an expert opinion, but he played well. Real well.

He played well enough that she kept her video camera on, this time focusing it on the boy who was playing. He had turned to the crowd and invited anyone to join in. She saw no one doing any of the sort and shrugged, getting up with her camera to move towards the stage as well. It would be fun to sing, and she'd meet a new friend (which was good, just in case she needed connections)

Sure it was embarrassing, but since when did she care?

Placing her camera on top of the piano, where the camera could capture his face as he played, she brought her hands together and began humming a tune. The lyrics hadn't come to her, she hadn't created them (she didn't specialize in song writing, just script writing).

Her voice was loud, and it was proud, and she almost blushed at some of the crowd's looks.

But she closed her eyes and imagined a place where it was just her singing, nothing else.

Mari rubbed her hand over her, arms in a week attempt the try to warm them up once more. When Oscar had wrapped her hand around the crease of his arm she smiled thankfully to him before moving a little bit closer to him. Boy was it cold out side. Keeping her head down so that the cold air wouldn’t chill her face. When Oscar had once again began to spoke she looked up and over to him. “Oh no, you don’t have to do that. The only way you will be paying is if we pay separately.” She said before looking up and around the campus.  She didn’didn't really notice how big the campus had actually been, the sites were actually breathtaking, especially with things like mirrors that have a slight chill on them. If it wasn’wasn't for the bone chattering cold, winter would be her one favorite season, above fall but below spring. She loved fall because that was when the leaves started to change color, and the scenery is actually so beautiful.

“Hey Oscar what is your favorite season?”

She asked him with a smile. She didn’t know why she asked him, though a technical person would probably say it was because she had an acrasia, but she actually wanted to know. Which season did he like the most and why? He looked like a very summery guy, like the kind of guy you would go singing on mountain tops and rolling down grassy hills with. When that thought had popped into her mind she could help but giggle. She was imagining him in that a dress and singing about the hills being alive with the sound of music. Just imagining him in a dress was enough to get her to quietly giggle to himself. She wondered briefly what his name would be if he was a she, Would they still stick to the root name but change it up a little bit like Oscaria or would it be something completely different like Amanda. No Amanda didn't suit him, if he had the same eyes and longer hair he would look like a Sasha. A sassy one at that, like the kind of guy- girl that would be the perfect girl to play the Regina George character in another High School movie. Realizing that she had zoned off into her own little would and that she was being rude she focused again and tried to see if Oscar had said anything that she might have missed. She hope he hadn't said anything to save her from the  embarrassing action of not actually knowing what to say, and giving a vague answer. That would be just horrible.

Blair did not blink, wince, or fidget at her uncle's very pointed admonishment, though her insides were squirming a little bit. She couldn't help that the Orientation was such a droll event. It was geared towards the Freshman, and neither she nor Oana were just starting their time here. They were practically seasoned veterans! And even quiet, stoic Blair was still helpless under her cousin's charm; if Oana asked, Blair would follow, no questions asked. Still, she couldn't entirely erase the images from last year's skipped Orientation. She had been asked to the headmistresses' office after her absence had been noted. It was the first time Blair had been caught doing anything misbehavioral and the dooming finality of the office doors closing behind her was enough to send a chill down her spine and a hard knot to form in her stomach. She had cursed Oana mentally for once again encouraging Blair to break the rules that she so loved and tried to adhere to and cursing herself for allowing herself to be placed under Oana's spell again. She had sat in front of the desk, not daring to stare at the headmistress directly (she was rumored to be quite terrifying, after all). Blair had never felt uncomfortable in anyone's presence before; but under the headmistress' scrutinizing gaze, her long fingernails tapping monotonously against the desk, Blair had felt every atom of her body squirming, screaming at her to run far, far away from this woman. She had done nothing but stare at Blair, her tapping never breaking rhythm. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the headmistress motioned for Blair to leave, advising her not to be absent again next year.

So when Oana turned to her, beautifully mischievous smile begging Blair to go along with her, she actually hesitated for a moment. She had no desire to return to the headmistress' office. She had hated the treatment for a first offense; she was sure she'd be positively miserable in a second offense meeting. The very thought had her skin crawling. Still, Oana's words from earlier echoed in her mind. This year, I'm going to find out what they're hiding from us. She couldn't deny her own misgivings about this school. And the memory of her visit with the headmistress was almost enough to sway her from Oana's thirst for adventure. Almost. But not quite. Grinning, Blair looped her arm through her cousin's. "Lead the way," she declared, making a grandiose gesture towards the direction of the townhouses.

Typical. Another girl who can't take a bit of chivalry. Oh well, at least it saves on the outlay. Oscar wasn't impressed by Mari's show of feminism. If he was taking a girl out then he liked to pay, not just because it made a woman feel more obligated towards him, but because he was raised to be the gentleman and paying for things was a part of that.
His mother wouldn't be pleased at how Oscar was choosing to use the lessons imparted to him, but he was a bloke when all was said and done, and as a bloke he had certain ideals that he held higher than those of his parents teachings.
Getting a woman into the sack was more important than being well thought of.

Oscar smothered a smirk of triumph as Mari snuggled closer to him trying to keep warm. His simple scheme always worked although on occasion he wished that just once a girl wouldn't automatically fall into his arms, that perhaps he'd have to work at getting a girl. Then again, if he ever did come across a girl like that then he doubted he'd stick around long enough to truly pursue her.
Mari was prattling on about something inane again. Oscar blinked and glanced at her to focus his attention on the pretty girl at his side. Mari wasn't so bad, considering it was only the first day and there were plenty of other new girls for Oscar to work his charms on over the course of the year. Yes. Mari would be a good starting point.
"My favourite season?" Oscar repeated Mari's question in his cultured baritone. The wind whipped at his hair and stung his eyes, but he smiled and shrugged one shoulder, "Winter naturally."
Oscar adored the cold. When else would he have an excuse to cuddle up with a girl he'd just met? Not to mention all the skiing that he could do. Of course England's skiing wasn't a patch on Switzerland, but that's what a passport was for.
Mari was giggling at something. Whatever it was Oscar doubted that it had anything to do with what he'd just said. The girl seemed a little strange, but Oscar had been out with far bigger nut jobs and it had never bothered him before.
"Don't tell me," Oscar drawled staring down at Mari as though trying to read her inner most thoughts and desires, "You're a summer girl. Sunbathing down the beach, sipping cocktails by the pool. Wearing itty bitty bikinis to drive the boys into the water to cool off." He chuckled slightly lasciviously.

The building that housed the café came into sight and Oscar withheld a sigh of relief. He was starting to lose the feeling in his face, which usually signalled that he'd been out far too long. He was surprisingly paranoid about losing his nose to frostbite and so quickened his pace slightly, pulling Mari along with him, "There's the café. Don't pay any mind to the ceiling. Someone thought they were being creative."
