[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ”Oh? Thanks!”Sage announced rather eagerly at Joe’s offer. He was right, she had to focus more on her tea. Handing over most of the boxes to Joe, the chocolate haired female gave him a tiny smile of appreciation before turning on her heels to continue the treks up the stairs. With her nice warm cup of tea, she inhaled the intoxicating scent through her two nostrils, a soft sigh of contentment leaving her lips. She didn’t even bother to ask Delilah what good it would do to go back downstairs, and if the tea wasn’t so soothing going down her throat, Sage would have warned her that she would have gotten swooped up into some pointless drama—but she didn’t. The raven-haired girl with the unique appeal would have stayed on the stair casing and waited for her red haired companion but she was already stepping into the threshold of her other red-haired friend’s oasis. It wasn’t the first time that she had been inside of Kevyn’s room so Sage was well aware where not to sit when entering the gamer’s abode. Instead she carried her pale ivory legs over to the open walk in closet and stood right in front of the mini fridge. Coal hues looked down with her usual void expression as her hands curled around her cup, taking another sip of the tea as she right wedge shoe lifted from the carpet to give the little fridge a tap. For some odd reason, it opened without an effort and exposed all the goodies that Kev was stashing. Pleased with the results that her little trick had gotten her, she squatted down so that she could examine her prizes with thorough eyes just as one hand unwrapped from the cup so that she could outstretch her arm and raid the miniature fridge. ”This is why I like your room.”Her monotone voice said as she now stood in the opening of the closet, one hand holding her cup of tea, the other holding a small chocolate pudding cup.

The sound of sluggish footsteps caused the Queen B to turn her head to see just who was making so much noise behind her. Out in the open, Leigh-Ann was a poise and meticulous female who held her nose up so high at times, you think she was sniffing the universe. But when the doors closed and she was with close friends, the façade of pretentiousness faltered yet it completely shattered when it came to her sister, especially a sick little sister. With a warm smile, she turned all of her attention to Jasmine and began to do a light jog back up the stairs so that she could wrap her arms around her sister’s petite waist. It was obvious from the moment she placed a hand on her, that she was still in no condition to go anywhere. ”Hey…what are you doing out of bed? You need to be resting. Have you had any dinner yet? Did you take your medicine? I told you…” Leigh-Ann constant soft chiding continued as she led her sisters back up the staircase and back to her room. Pushing the door open with one hand, she entered what she called the “sweat shop”. Ever since Jasmine had gotten sick, there was nothing but constant steam from humidifiers. With her arm coiled around her sister’s waist in a procetive manner, Leigh-Ann led her back to her bed where she sat her down gently. Her smile was still in place as she made her sister lie down in bed and brought the covers up over her, tucking her in as if she was trying to make sure she wouldn’t escape. ”Now I know you hate being cooped up but if you want to go to school tomorrow, you have to rest. I’m not going to that party, by the way. Too...disgusting for my taste. I mean, it’s Frey—that emo wannabee isn’t good enough to lick the dirt off my Dolce and Gabbana stilettos...not like I get those dirty.”Leigh-Ann said while giving her sister a playful wink before picking up the remote to the flat screen that hung on the wall across from the canopy bed of her sister’s. ”I’m just going out...with a friend. I will wait for you until they get here.” It was the rare moments like these people never saw from Leigh-Ann if they never made it beyond the front gate of her home. With their parents always away, the pretty diva had always been the one to take care of her younger sibling, even when they were just small children. And even as the Queen B of Kingdom Crest, the fashionista always seem to have have a soft spot for the talented musician.

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Location: Kevyn's Room Thoughts: 'And here I thought I was the weird one.' The heat from the pizza boxes almost matched the heat his heart felt when Sage had sighed in such a sing song voice. Though Joe would never admit it to anyone but himself, he felt like he had personally been struck by cupid's arrow when it came to Sage. Nothing she did seemed wrong to him, and almost everything she did stalled his heart. He let himself day dream of a day when her sigh might not be about tea, but about him. But after he let himself have the luxury of this small fantasy, Joe followed Sage up into Kevyn's room. Although Sage had immediately walked into the room, Joe found himself chuckling at the small sign on her door. It gave Joe more perspective on the character that Kevyn was; and he thought that the two of them could make a friendship. That was only if she could handle his occassional smart ass comments that he thought were harmless. Joe entered Kevyn's room and set the pizza boxes down on a small table that was next to her bed. He plopped down next to Kevyn on her bed, looking over her shoulder to see what magazine she was reading. When he saw that she stopped reading to acknolwedge Sage, he took it upon himself to start a conversation with Kevyn. "So...Patronus Resistant Dementors, huh? Nasty little buggers." he chuckled at his own joke for a little. Finding himself grinning while looking directly into Kevyn's eyes. | |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Kevyn looked up as she saw Sage enter her room and walk into the walk in closet. She watched with amusement as Sage tapped the small fridge with her shoe, squatted down to its height, and opened up the compartment. Kevyn had used some of her own money to buy the fridge, a 180$ purchase. When she brought it home her parents weren’t happy, but warmed up to the idea that Kevyn would be eating from and stocking up her own fridge, rather than emptying out the family fridge in the kitchen. The redhead then watched as her raven haired friend complimented her room and took out a chocolate pudding cup from the assortment of sugary snack food treats. “The mini fridge is the best asset, other than my consoles and the dementor sign I’ve hung on my door.” Out of the hallway and into the bedroom came Joe, carrying all the pizza. He set it onto the table and immediately after that, Kevyn reached over to one box and opened it. Taking two slices of the pepperoni kind, she put the rest down onto the bed where Joe lay next to her. Biting into the delectable treat known as pepperoni pizza, Kevyn chewed and swallowed before talking back to Joe about the Dementors. “They ward off intruders. One time my cousin came in without permission and nearly got kissed by one, couldn’t speak for days.” The redhead finished off one slice and started on the other. “Serves her right though, she’s a Hufflepuff.”[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Location: HomeWearing - I tried...I did.:

Society.
Everything she resented with a passion.Frey understood what Luna was saying, people tended to remember people out there than people who were often secluded into a corner. She watched as Luna did a little motion and continued to watch her tease the boys who were playing a game and watching them in conversation. Laughing out loud, Frey nodded when she was done. “I totally get what you’re saying, people don’t remember the quiet ones, they remember to loud ones.” Too bad she was both loud and somewhat quiet when she wanted to be. Either way, she couldn’t care less if no one paid attention to her, as long as she paid attention to herself. Was she confident? Was she humble herself? Freyjakiu had no idea, but whatever, she did agree with Luna. ‘I seem to be doing that a lot lately,’ she thought to herself. Really, as long as you build yourself up high with confidence, but do not get addicted to that high, that’s all that matters. You have to be confident, not cocky. Confidence is sexy. Cockiness is a turn off. “You shouldn’t act all high and mighty when you know you’re as bad as everyone out there, too.”That’s true. Saying you’re the best person in the world while you are as average as the next guy is being stupidly confident and cocky. Good, so she had someone to clean up with her. “You don’t do it if you don’t want to. But if you do want to, thanks!”

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Location: Kevyn's Bed Thoughts: 'You'd think she'd never had pizza before.' Joe waited until Kevyn had taken her share of slices--and showed him where the pepperoni slices were--until he reached in and grabbed a piece for himself. Before he had even opened his mouth to take a bite, Kevyn was finished with her first slice. Joe's eyebrow raised in amusement as he listened to her response. I'm certainly glad I watched the movies, otherwise I would have no idea what she was talking about. The corner of Joe's lip lifted before he responded. "And I'm guessing you're a Slytherin?" he knew that if she was an intense Harry Potter fan, she might become offended at his assumption. This was exactly what Joe had wanted. He wanted to ruffle her feathers up so he could see what got under her skin. As he waited for her response, he finished of his slice of pizza, saving the crust for last. He hated pizza crust and usually gave the crust to his family's dog. But since the lab was no where in sight, Joe just held the crust in his hand. He brought his gaze back to Kevyn and noticed she had some pizza sauce on the corner of her mouth. "You've got some..." he said as he reached over and swiped the sauce off with his thumb. Joe usually had a radar for girl's who had a problem with their personal space being breeched. But, since he was trying to get under Kevyn's skin, he decided to ignore his usual caution. Just to add more salt onto the wound, Joe popped his thumb into his mouth to wipe the sauce off. He then reached for another piece of pizza while watching the Harry Potter fanatic's reaction. | |

Teenagers. Such a hassle, one would think that could make some intelligent decisions. Luna nods at what Frey said. It was kind of a bummer that the only people who get ingrained in the memory of others are those who are loud and obnoxious. Dark orbs kept taking tabs on the boys in the corner. Entertaining horn bags. Adolescents were oh so simple. Really getting so riled up over such a simple gesture. It's like they've never seen a pair of boobs before. She didn't even have all that great of cleavage in this shirt. Now on Tuesday, yeah her breasts looked awesome on the day that everybody returned to school. But she does go on, there's no need for it really. She knows that they look good. "America." She shrugs. Maybe her and Frey should do a bit of a trade off. The other girl enough to admit when somebody gives her a stronger compliment than 'You look pretty today' or 'This party is fun'. And enough so that the traveler can have a few kind words be just that. She can get an expanded ego and have those slightly lame words just seem like an everyday occurrence. Sure it did silently but that's also since she has at least one of the slut regions exposed at most times and isn't hideous. At her words dark hair was batted out of her eyes as she smiled. "Why thank you. It's nice that somebody thinks I'm just as bad as everyone else." She laughed at her friends excitement. "But it's really not a problem. It would take forever to clean everything up by yourself!" She took a sip of her lemon aid when her eyes got the back of a creamy skinned head when a faceless stranger entered the kitchen. "Oh hell no. He just has to be here."

Carmen couldn't contain the scowl of irritation that invaded her features at Harley's words.
"Are you really that stupid, Harely? You claim to know Jessi so well, yet you think she left you for a male. Really? Everyone in this school knows she has absolutely no interest in dick. Grow some fucking balls. If you were really that worried, why wouldn't you just confront her about it? Kissing someone else is pathetic and cowardly."
Letting out a deep exhale of exasperated frustration, she simply shook her head unable to form any semblance of coherent thought besides expletives. Carmen had always been known for her protective nature regarding her friends' happiness, and this case was no different. She might not have known the particulars of their relationship, but she did know Jessi, and it was apparent how much she had cared for Harely. There was something more there than simple flirtation or hormonal lust, but the prospect had officially been crushed by Harely's disgusting antics.
The revelation Jessi delivered next brought an uncharacteristically evil smirk across the Romanian beauty's features, her attention turning towards the handsome stranger that had appeared by her friend's side.
"My thoughts exactly, darling. It's a pleasure to meet you. I just wish it was under better circumstances."
A light musical laugh left her lips despite the obvious tension as she watched the two Sundano's depart the party. It was such a shame. Harely's actions had ended things before they even had a chance to begin.
"If you cared about Jess even a little, then you just watched one of the best relationships you could have had walk out of your life. Think about that next time you jump to conclusions. I expected better from you.
Her piercing gaze settled on the blonde surfer, her chartreuse irises boring into her aquamarine ones before she too departed the circle of bodies surrounding them. Whether or not Harely disliked her words, there was no denying that Carmen's intervention had prevented a rather ugly altercation. The soft murmur of whispers followed her gracefully gliding body, her attention focused forward despite the cacophony of emotions that warred within her. Not only had she dealt with the disastrous relationship her friend had just walked away from, but her twitter had been blowing up with messages from Jacob Dennt. His suspension had quickly traveled across the school, the resident gurus breathing a sigh of relief as their main adversary was suddenly absent and his hostile actions no longer impending.
Both Jacob and Carmen had always had a mutualistic antagonism, a interaction peppered with snide jabs and comments followed by subtle flirtations. His disappearance had ended all that, and she wouldn't deny that a part of her missed it. His sudden appearance had brought a smile to her face, but it quickly turned into a frown as his typical sarcastic remarks manifested into something else. Before she knew it Asher had intervened and a brawl was being considered. The situation had diffused, but part of her couldn't help but feel bad for Jacob. She didn't want him out of her life, even his meaningless flirting she could tolerate, but something was different about him, she could feel it.
Her feet finally stopped outside of Frey's house, the cool night air caressing her heated flesh and racing mind. She withdrew her phone from the delicate, shimmering purse that hung from her shoulder and slid down her contacts until her finger stopped on Jacob's name. The top row of her pearly whites nervous;y sunk into her plump bottom lip before she exhaled loudly and decided to send him a friendly text, her emotions severely overriding her sense of rationale.

Hey...you know I don't want you to just up and vanish. Who else will I harass on a daily basis? I'm glad you're back, even though that probably doesn't mean much. Maybe one of these days I'll take you out to celebrate. See you around, love~
Message Delievered
Despite his comments on Twitter there was no reason to believe his feelings were actually genuine, and despite her friendliness she only desired Asher. She was certain of that.

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Location: Party Thoughts: I need to get out of here..Delilah was relieved that the brunette from detention came to the rescue, the last thing she wanted to do was get into a fight. After Carmen's tranquil but harsh words, Jessica seemed to calm down a bit but Delilah still had her eyes on the head musicians clenched fists. Delilah was unsure whether she was going to get punched in the face or not, although Jessica's face seemed to soften a bit her hands were clenched tightly as if she might just swing her fist and hit Delilah square in the jaw. Dreck positioned himself in front of her and Delilah ducked behind him but was still in the line of sight of the musician's intense gaze. She kept silent as the scene unfolded in front of her, not wanting to say anything to anger anyone and also because she was trying to piece together what the fuck had just happened. Jealousy? she thought, nonplussed. Everyone knew that Jessica was a lesbian, even her, and she hadn't been at the school as long as everyone else. Someone called out Jessica's name and uttered a few more words to calm her down. She took a step closer to Harley and Delilah was afraid that Jessica might do her something. Instead she placed her hands in her pockets and spoke a few vindictive words before she left with the mysterious male she introduced as her brother. Well that's a relief. She sighed. Carmen chided Harley on her impulsive actions before she left the scene. Delilah too wanted to leave the scene. The Burner is going to have a blast with this. She groaned to herself. Although the scene had dissipated and the onlookers went back to partying Delilah didn't feel comfortable remaining at the party. She didn't really have anything to say to the surfer so she just shrugged and turned to speak to Dreck. "My knight in shining armor," she smiled, her voice slightly shaky. "You wanna go somewhere away from here? I don't wanna stay here anymore,"She thought about the geek fest upstairs and how the others will be waiting for her arrival. I'm sure they'll understand.. she hoped. I hope I'm not labeled as a potential Harlot, now that my chances of being in the Musicians are non-existant. She whipped out her phone from her back pocket and quickly sent a text to Sage. To: Sage Sensei :3 From: Dee Decided to leave early. Will explain later. Sorry.Message delivered."Come on, let's go," she said grabbing Dreck's hand, not waiting for any protests. She led him into the crowd and eventually they reached the front lawn of her fellow crimson-haired friend. "Where to now?" | |

| .:SAMUEL LEWIS:. Sam had followed silently behind Sage and the rest of the crew, being sure to stick his tongue out rather impishly in Joe’s direction. He hoped that the poor kid knew that she was never going to truly reprimand Sam for anything he did. Sam never did any wrong. Besides, Joe was nothing, but a mere shadow in his wake. After furrowing his brow and thinking rather snobbish comments in regards to Joseph over there, he found himself sitting with his leg propped up as he leaned against one of the walls in Kevyn’s room. It seemed that Harry Potter was the discussion now. What the actual hell… Perhaps the Gurus truly were the nerds of Kingdom Crest’s society. He threw his curly head back and tapped his head against the wall with a groan. “Oh, Harry Potter. This is exceptionally exciting,” he sighed with exaggerated annoyance. He was kidding of course. Catching Joe’s endearing gesture as he wiped the pizza sauce from Kevyn’s face, Sam pouted at them and grinned sheepishly. ”Oh, Joe! Your such a dream boat!” Releasing a bright laugh, he sent a wink in his direction. ”Someone tell me why my clothes are still on after that display. It’s a conundrum.” He spared his cellular device a quick glance and decided to text his bestie, Miss Mini-Anderson. To: Jazz is my Bitch

As Jessi left and the drama died down, Dreck was getting ready to escort Delilah up stairs where he saw the group from earlier run off to. He of course stayed in front of her for just a little while longer to see if anybody else had a few sharp words to say but as it seems every body forgot about them and was going back, he relaxed from a fighting stance to that of his normal posture. Of course it wasn't a real stance as he does in the cage or rink but it was practice. Firm enough not to be knocked down from some street fighter that's for sure. People who aren't trained are just amatuers in his mind now and he will take on any one of them. The why his easy. They don't really hit that hard. He doesn't care how many people they have knocked out, to any trained fighter, they simply do not hit that hard and it's almost comical sometimes. Especially when there are gloves on. When she spoke, he looked down with a smile. "Well it was not that big of deal at all. Just felt that if one of us was going to get out face punched, it might as well be the one who gets far larger beatings than she can dish out on a fairly regular basis." He winks. Though he was going to lead her to the geek fest, he wasn't all that surprised when she suggested leaving and took his hand. Like most other people would, he followed her without much complaint. He saw her pull out her phone and just assumed it was to inform the surely far more calm hang out downstairs of her departure. Probably not with him of course. Being the only male Harlot, he's almost as well known as the leader though he believes that she has gone a-wall. The only people who don't really know him are the one's who he doesn't flirt with. Besides the athletes, they know him from frequenting the gym more than some of them do and giving they teams some shit either before a big game or when they are slacking. He gives the wrestling team the most since it's in the worse shape and if anyone complains he simply will just show them how it's done properly. When they were outside, he breathed in the much more calm air from outside. Enjoying getting his nose away from the stench of beer and sweat that isn't from him. "Well first and for most, we must decide on who's car to take." He teased, a bit of a 'see we should have car pooled' undertone to get her to relax. He knew that hers was the best choice. For many reasons really. Mostly because she probably doesn't was to go back for her wheels. The whole point of having to flee a scene is not returning any time soon. Or at least that was the impression he was under as he picks out any of the vehicles he recognized to pinpoint hers. "As to the destination, that all depends on you. I'm sure that you don't know the area all that well but tell me the type of energy you want a place to carry and I'll bring you to the closest place you know." He offers, holding his hand out for his keys. It only makes sense that he drives, he both wasn't the one almost attacked and knows the town better.

It wasn't until she saw the look on her sister's face that Jasmine realizes just how fragile she must seem, and honestly still felt. There was honestly nothing like a motherly Leigh to break down the defenses. Allowing herself to be led back to her bed, and gently tucked in, Jasmine contemplates how she couldn't recall her parents ever doing anything like this. Don't get her wrong, her parents would always send her the loveliest, most intelligent servants, and even the occasional postcard, but it was no substitute for parenthood. Not like Leigh was. With a shiver of guilt, Jasmine wonders how it had affected Leigh. Pulling the blankets in tighter, Jasmine smiles gratefully at her sister, thankful for the company.
"You know adventure can come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. Opportunities like that party may be more fun than you think." Jasmine murmurs softly, coming to the girl's defense with a conviction she didn't truly feel. Lately, she'd had little to do but keep up with her peers VIA Twitter and it seemed like all she could see was the world going on without her, a depressing thought, truly. Especially when it consisted of Sam becoming all buddy buddy with that quiet intellectual. In Jasmine's limited experience, she had found little wrong with the girl, besides her slightly creepy tendencies, which she had always found refreshing and exciting, but she couldn't help but feel replaced. Jasmine was about to mention the unwelcome feeling to Leigh when her phone vibrated loudly, announcing a message from her closest friend.

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Location: Hopefully in her car Thoughts: 'I really messed up.' The only thing Harley could do was swallow a mouthful of lead as she watched Jessi walk away. She didn't want to respond to her words, nor did she want to give away how hurt she was by them. She had tried to make a point to not act like a dog, but here she was...whimpering like one. She felt the shame of her actions crash around her stuck body and only nodded as Raphael shrugged at her. Harley couldn't say how much the shrug meant to her, but it made her feel at least someone was on her side. Bronzed shoulders flinched at the sound of the door slamming. It echoed throughout the room, with a hum of 'ooh' through the crowd, and vibrated in her brain. "If you cared about Jess even a little, then you just watch one of the best relationships you could have had walk out of your life. Think about that next time you jump to conclusions. I expected better from you." Carmen was lecturing Harley as if she even knew the girl. The alcohol that still remained in her brain made her want to stick her tongue out at her while she looked Harley down. If not in spite then just to get a reaction. But Harley resisted and just bite the fat storage underneath her bottom lip. When the stare down was finally over, her blue eyes glittered with the threat of falling tears as she cursed alcohol and what it did to her. She barely noticed Delilah leaving as well, stranding Harley to stand alone as she wiped moisture from her eyes. The best relationship of my life? Harley thought. It didn't feel like it at the time. Why was I so stupid? Why didn't I stop to even think through what was happening--to remind myself the type of person Jessi likes--and come to a different conclusion? I feel so stupid. If it wasn't for the crowd of people watching her, she probably would have let the tears free fall without shame. But she felt the pressure of being the Athletics Leader keeping her head high. She started to compose herself, pulling her dress down and pushing her hair out of her face, when she realized Jessica had been her ride to the party and was also supposed to be her ride back home. Home. Harley wanted to go home more than anything, which meant she could either find a new ride or go out and beg for Jessi to take her home. The thought of Harley facing Jess after what just happened was terrifying. Yet, she didn't want to leave Jess and her anger to brew. It wouldn't give them a chance to even reconcile a bit of the relationship that they had. Harley pushed her pride aside and began to run out the door--extremely thankful that she had decided to wear flats instead of heels. Her blue eyes scanned the curb for Jessi's muscle car and was relieved to see it still parked in the curb. She approached the car with hesitation before she caught Jess's attention. Harley was ready for the pissed female to shout in anger for her to leave, so Harley quickly talked. "I know I'm the last person you want to talk to right now, but you're sort of...my...my ride." she stumbled the words out. It wasn't because she still under the influence, but because she was terrified Jess would scream at her to go away. In fact, Harley expected it. But she didn't expect Jess to turn her away without at least giving her her skateboard back. | |

A familiar grin spread itself across his features as his eyes met with Eyree. He could only imagine how interesting their little competition would end up being. His pale gaze flicked in the direction of the game of Beer Pong that seemed to be commencing before him and he chuckled at the ridiculousness of it all. He was never a Beer Pong fan. He'd rather just drink and be happy. Why the hell should he work for his alcohol. Watching Eyree in action, he ran his fingers through his dark hair, his deep chuckled vibrating within his chest.
Once she was finished, he followed her and rolled his eyes. Five behind already? Damn, she must have pre-gamed if that were the case. But hey, those Russians went hard. "Guess I'll be doing some catching up there, huh." His white teeth gleamed beneath the lights of the kitchen as he grinned. Catching her wink, he returned it with his own, followed by a genuine laugh. "Shouldn't take too long, babe."
His attention was immediately stolen by an over-dramatic scene involving Harley, Jessi and some poor girl caught in the middle. Pathetic. He narrowed his azure hues and shoved his hands deeps into his pockets with a roll of his eyes. Girls could be so obnoxious. It seemed that wherever they went, trouble soon followed.
A wave of alarm shot through him as a bottle of vodka was shoved into his arms and he instinctually whipped his hands free from the depths of his pockets to catch it. Grasping it with both hands, he shot Eyree a confused glance, his brow furrowed and his lip curled. Well, that was strange... Had he done something wrong? He couldn't imagine what it was he could have done in a two minute time period, but hell, shit happens. Or, most likely, it was elicited by the unnecessary drama? Whatever the case, it baffled him.
"Um, okay..." he drawled out with a perfectly arched eyebrow raised.
He returned his gaze in the direction of the three girls and realized that Carmen was inserting herself in the middle of it all. Seriously? Asher, Avery and Carmen had hardly been there for all of ten minutes and shit like this was already happening. The fuck is this shit? Lifting the vodka bottle to his lips, he swallowed a mouthful only after shaking his head in disapproval. She better watch herself... He wasn't in the mood to be throwing any punches. At least, not right this second.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Slytherin? Pfft, as if. Slytherins weren't evil, though, just misunderstood. On her Pottermore test, Kevyn got Ravenclaw. She wasn't surprised. Other than being smart, she was witty, and very creative. Ravenclaw seemed to suit her. Freyjakiu would be a Slytherin, not her. "Slytherin isn't for me. I'm a Ravenclaw, because I'm smart and witty." Smiling widely in mock pride, Kevyn bit into another part of her pizza once more. Her entire life revolved around high calorie snack foods, or food in general. If she didn’t have a well metabolism, she would’ve swelled up like a balloon within the first week of her teen years. The last time she ate a salad was when she was sixteen, and that was when she had been promoted into the next grade. Kevyn saved both pizza crusts for last. They were her favorite part, and she tended to savor their taste while they lasted. Ripping a piece off of one, she popped it into her mouth. She was about to finish it off when Joe spoke about her having pizza sauce on her mouth. “Oh thank-”she was going to wipe it off on her cardigan’s sleeve, but Joe beat her to the punch. She blushed a deep red as he wiped off the sauce with his own thumb, licking it off of his finger when he was done. What was that? Either it was meant as some harmless joke, or maybe just some cheap pass at her? She had no idea, boys were so cryptic.Stuttering, she blushed even redder, redheads were not built for these interactions. “T-Thanks for wiping it off, I guess.” Sam followed into the room, throwing out sarcastic comments one by one. The ones that made Kevyn even more flustered than before were the last and the second to last one. Hitting Samuel in the leg with the magazine, Kevyn yelled. “Shut up!” She then ducked down into her bed’s sheets and counted until her face went down a few shades.

| .:AVERY BRENNAN:. It seemed that the only reaction Avery was able to muster was a stupefied blink and a moment of complete and utter obliviousness. Carmen's intervention shouldn't have surprised her, but the amount of drama was enough to make her feel like a deer caught in headlights. Before Carmen had left her side, Avery was barely able to breathe a simple: "Carmie, wait…" Nevertheless, she stood as still as a statue and tried to put the pieces together regarding the seemingly disastrous situation. Damn, she was coming off as one shitty reporter if she was hardly able to notice the beginnings of an altercation. Jessi and Harley are a thing... Jessi left Harley momentarily to meet her brother... Harley thought she was cheating... So Harley, feeling spiteful and betrayed, locked lips with innocent Delilah... And now Jessi was pissed because of premature assumptions and Harley's lack of trust... Right. Thinking about it now, her synopsis didn't seem so bad. She would have smirked at her own racing thoughts, but that was hardly appropriate. Whatever the case may be, Avery made sure to loom away from the thick of it all. She'd serve as an observer and nothing more, unless instigated by another. It all seemed silly and Avery rolled her eyes with an airy sigh, her ultramarine eyes landing on Carmen and then to her brother, who stood a good distance away from the serious goings-on. He looked as though he couldn't care less and she couldn't help, but grin at it's familiar presence. It was his M.O. after all: Never care. Then again, it was a conditional motto, considering how he seemed to care about Carmen. Out of boredom, her thumb had lazy swiped across the screen of her iPhone, given to her by her absent father. Asher had been given one, too, but he received it with little gratitude and obvious disdain. He only accepted it because he didn't feel like wasting his own money on modern day technology. Avery, however, would take what she could get. If her dad was willing to make amends this way, it was a start. It would pacify the hell he put them through, but his generous donations were well received--by her, at least. Searching through her twitter feed, her eyes focused on the flirty tweets between Carmen and Jacob. It was nothing knew to Avery, but she couldn't help the sudden tightness in her gut as she glanced at Asher's responses. This was one of the reasons their courtship unsettled her. In the event that it all went south, she didn't want to have to choose sides. | |

| ••Jacob Dentt••
It wasn't until his rattling truck roared into the driveway of the party that Jacob realized the errors of his ways. He had been tweeting while driving, out of all people Jacob Dentt wasn't exactly known for road safety, and numerous hostile tweets from both Asher and Carmen had been sent his way. Jacob had felt mildly indignant toward the hurtful tweets, particularly from Carmen, considering he had treated her in the same manner he always did.
With a blink, Jacob wonders just how exactly he handled Carmen. The faintest of smiles spread across Jacob's full lips as the memories of long nights staying up harassing the girl crossed his mind. He was a constant figure of antagonism at Kingdom Crest, and very few had seen him as otherwise. As a human rather than some infamous figure. Those people consisted of Leigh, who he protected as if a sister, and Carmen. Carmen who teased and flirted relentlessly knowing full well he could never look at her like one of the ditsy beloveds who flung themselves into his bed for his reputation only. Or so he thought, at least. Surely she'd never mentally put herself on the same level as those bimbos, right?
Turning off the engine of the roaring vehicle distractedly, Jacob's hazel eyes sweep the front of the building where a lone curvy figure waits almost expectantly. It is then that Jacob's phone vibrates to life in the dust of his cup holder and Jacob's eyes plunge away from the unknown woman to the message before him. Reading the message twice with a bewildered expression, Jacob brings two masculine hands to his temples, a steady crease forming between his brows. This woman bewildered him. Just a minute ago she had completely, and publicly shot him down- and not in their usual playful way- and yet, here was a message from her sounding almost concerned for him.
Jacob quickly banishes the thought of her possible feelings for him from his mind. She wasn't some easy piece of meat you find in the harlot hallway of the high school, she was a beautiful intellectual with a wit to match her beauty, and would definitely not be impressed by a few flirtatious messages. Which left only one option- she felt sorry for him. With a nearly painful swallow, Jacob sinks deeper into his dusty leather seat and almost wishes to disappear. Nobody pities Jacob Dentt. He was chief badass at Kingdom Crest. Then again. Carmen was never a sucker for the title and seemed to see right through it. Could it be that she saw him for what he was- Jacob Dentt- the deserted boy with no future who works two jobs to pay to wean his wisp of a mother off of drugs?
The thought was terrifying.
Jacob Dentt doesn't do terrified.
Without bothering to respond, Jacob decides he'd just take a look around the party before heading home, he suddenly didn't really feel in a partying mood. Slamming his giant truck's muddy door behind him, Jacob makes his way towards the door when his hazel gaze falls on a very distressed looking Carmen. She was probably the last- and first- person he desired to see at that moment. But the look on her face swept away his built up frustration and he headed towards her. 'And here she is needing support. This is why you don't befriend humans of the female persuasion, Jacob Dentt.' He chastised himself mentally before reaching her.
"Hey Rey." Jacob says easily, in a tone he reserved only for the people he gave half a fuck about- which were few. "You look like you just watched a main character die in one of those sappy love TV shows girls watch." Jacob plunked down on her curb next to Carmen before continuing. "Are you going to spill the beans, or do I just have to hit everything until something confesses to bothering you?" Jacob had always been a protector of sorts. There were just some people he... latched on to and would go to the end of the earth to ensure their happiness. Not that anybody really knew that. It would kill his Badass rep he worked so hard to enforce.

He needed to put his sleeve up to his mouth and look away so she wouldn't catch the grin that was lighting his face. It seemed if you just looked at everything Kevyn displayed about herself, you might mistake her for a tomboy. But the blush that stained her cheeks told Joe otherwise. Not only did he success in catching her off guard, he always saw that if the gamer blushed she looked absolutely gorgeous. Not that the opportunity to watch her remained long. Sam, as always, directed the attention towards himself. Joe let his eyes travel to the ceiling as he listened to his pathetic attempt to tease the two of them. He let out a sigh and was about to reply to the curly haired criminal until he saw a fast movement of something. The corner of Joe's mouth turned upwards into a smirk when he saw that Kevyn had thrown the magazine she was reading at Sam. He knew that Sam would probably respond drastically and pretend to be offended at the action, so Joe directed his attention back to his new found friend. "That was awesome." he said while chuckling. He then extended his fist out towards her to offer her props. She was getting more and more interesting with each passing minute.

The last thing Carmen had been expecting was to see Jacob Dentt making his way over to her, his characteristic apathy oozing from every pore of his body. A subtle smirk tugged at the corners of her lips, her free hand gently stroking through her chestnut waves as she returned her cellphone back into her purse. If she didn't know any better this all seemed too coincidental. Here she was trying to get her disarrayed head back into order only for Jacob to pull up, and threaten to right everything that ailed her. As a writer she had always appreciated irony, but this was a little too much, even for her. A soft sigh escaped Carmen's lips as she took a seat next to him on the curb her legs gracefully twisting to the side as she attempted to conceal her modesty.
"If I knew you were this readily available, I'd have abused this power more often."
A soft, feminine laugh left her lips at her comments, her normally beautiful, mischievous features falling into an uncharacteristic frown.
"I don't know what other girls you associate at with, but I stopped watching those shows a long time ago. They only create false hope, deceiving impressionable kids.
She angrily wretched her handbag from her shoulder, laying it on the ground next to her, as the echo of girlish giggles filled the space behind them.
"As lovely as the though of you threatening inanimate objects and people is, I'm afraid the person you'd have to really accost would be me. This party has just brought back some bad memories. I look like I have shit together Jacob, but I don't. I really don't. I thought I could be back in this atmosphere, but after seeing Jess almost come to blows with some new girl...I realized I was wrong."
Her hands roughly clutched the edge of her dress before she shook her head, long tendrils of auburn hair caressing her face with the movement.
"Enough about my shit. I'm sure our resident badass doesn't need to hear my woes, besides I meant what I said in my text. I'm happy you're here. I was kind of a bitch to you before, but I was just caught off guard. You seemed different...much less..."dangerous."
Carmen raised her hands and bent her index and middle fingers imitating quotations as she turned to look Jacob straight in his hazel eyes. Her devious smile returned to her flawless face as an enticing chuckle slipped past her sultry lips.
"You know it's just me and you Jacob. You don't have to keep pretending."
Her voice was barely above a whisper as she spoke, a dainty hand moving to rest against his muscular forearm. She was expecting him to pull away or even yell at her, but it wasn't just pity that fueled her actions. Beneath that hard exterior had to rest a lonely individual. Carmen knew all too well how hard it was trying deal with major issues without some form of support. She wanted to be that for Jacob, though she hoped the emotional storm warring within her would quickly come to an end. It was absolutely exhausting trying to sort out her feelings between Asher and Jacob, especially when there seemed to be an immense animosity existing between them. All she could do was focus on the present, and with Asher engaging in drunken games with Eyree, that was currently Jacob.

| ••Jacob Dentt••
A faint and nearly bitter smirk rests on Jacob's face at Carmen's words. His strong arms tensing at her delicate touch. The pity was back, he was sure of it. Carmen's beautiful eyes gleamed with a deeper emotion than what he had originally percieved, a sort of understanding. He wondered if he wanted someone to understand. The idea seemed rather distasteful, to be sure, that he would wish that sort of pain on anyone, especially someone like Carmen.
And then there was something else...
A sort of deep unexplainable desire that somehow his deepest pains and scars were his to bear, and how could anyone ever possibly understand that? Even someone like... well someone like Carmen. For a moment, Jacob's muscular forearm that had tensed at her touch relaxed, his smirking smart ass facade melting at her touch, but his barrier was just as quickly back up. A burden like his wasn't one to share. It was one to protect others from. Others like Carmen.
Deciding not to respond to her last comment, Jacob swallows nervously, glancing around as if searching for his Bad Ass persona he had only a minute ago, but he couldn't find it. He was sure it had far too much to do with her familiar touch. Dying for an escape from the inevitable conversation about his past, Jacob grasped at the opportunity to be there for Carmen and his deep voice took on a gentler tone as he attempted something he knew far too well he wasn't good at.
"No... tell me. What's stopping you? What's preventing you from watching those sappy love TV shows, and giggling about make up with your friends?" As if on cue, a round of feminine, drunken laughter rolls from the party, and Jacob flinches, his voice softens even more as he continues. "What's stopping you from spending this time falling in love with Asher?" Jacob nearly grimaces at his own words. He wasn't known to care very much for anything and this conversation was a definite deviation from the norm, and for what? He was certain this girl's interest in him dove no deeper than mild curiosity and pity, why should he care for her so?
Perhaps it was because those exact words, about how she couldn't just- couldn't just meld back into her old world was exactly what drove Jacob to his façade. His larger than life character was instantaneously accepted and renown. He never had to tell anyone anything. He never had to open up. He never had worry about being loved again. Looking up to meet Carmen's vibrant knowing eyes, Jacob wondered if she had ever felt that way, and somehow, he believed she had.

| .:ASHER BRENNAN:.
Bored plagued Asher like an itch that he couldn't quite scratch. There was nothing going on at this party that remotely piqued his interest. With the vodka bottle still grasped in his right hand, he placed it on a nearby table. Whoever wanted it could go ahead and take it. He consumed only a mouthful and found the action to be utterly without purpose. It didn't grace him with an illusion of bliss and it hardly made him depressed. In other words, no point in continuing to drink it. Maybe he'd drive the crew home after all.
A fellow classmate--Richard, he thought his name was--gave him a pat on the back in greeting, along with the rest of the kid's dysfunctional crew. They were underclassmen and Asher was sure that he never so much as spared this group of kid's a cursory glance. Alcohol had that effect on people; It made people exceedingly friendly. And fucking phony. Grimacing, Asher aided an eyebrow as they walked off. This is why he hated parties. People were fucking retarded.
Asher caught his sister in his gaze and sent her a quick wink before walking towards the door. Avery smiled in return and continued to stare down at her phone apprehensively. Whatever her problem was, he had no idea, but he had no intention of prying. Especially not in a public setting. That's what attention whore and jack asses did in their free-time. The thought of stooping down to their level made him scoff internally. He didn't have time for that bullshit. Maybe, he'd just end up going home to free himself form the nonsense that he wasn't even involved in.
Shoving his hands into the depths of his pockets as he so often did, he exited the house and found himself surrounded by the aroma of the outdoors. The familiar scent of recently cut grass and the cool night air tickled his senses. That kind of natural scent was impossible to find in Pauper Court. The air there was forever stale and tainted with the raw smell of garbage, the cheap metal of fences and whatever waste someone decided to haphazardly discard in the streets and on the pavements that were typically decorated with gum molded into the cement. One would think that the clean air he was experiencing now would be refreshing, but it only made him realize what he didn't have. What he chose not to have. His father attempted to reach out to him by giving him "generous donations" to pay the bills and move into a nicer home if he was truly set on being on his own. Asher wouldn't take it--refused to take it.
His lip curled in a disgusted manner and his gaze scanned the surroundings of the quaint development, only to bring about another reason for his malice. There Carmen was, chatting it up with the school's Bad Ass leader. An individual Asher wasn't always particularly fond of. He never truly had a problem with the kid, but with him being so seemingly close to Carmen, he couldn't contain his annoyance. Then again, he wasn't sure if he had aright to be irritated by Carmen flirting with Jacob. They weren't dating. Nevertheless, the contraction in his chest and the rigid feeling in his gut were far from negligible. He would never tell Carmen who she could and could not talk to--she was her own person. But that didn't mean possible threats wouldn't bother him.
Taking on the most indifferent and aloof expression, he pulled form his pocket a carton of cigarettes. Placing one slender cylinder to his lips, he flicked on the lighter and lit it with effortless grace. It was a and habit of his to smoke when irritated; It calmed him, despite Avery's objections. With a charmingly lazy gait, he stood behind Carmen, ignore Jacob's presence. "I'm driving home soon. You can go with me and Avery or you can leave with whomever," he breathed as a tendril of smoke escaped his plump lips. And by "whomever", he was referring to Jacob, who he was sure would be more than happy to offer his chauffeuring services. Despite his detached demeanor, his jaw was tight with vexation as his azure eyes finally flicked in Jacob's direction. "Dentt," he nodded in acknowledgement, only to return his gaze back to Carmen.

Jacob's previously genuine and caring aura evaporated at the hollow sound of Asher's voice. How long had he been there? Jacob looked down at Carmen's hand on his forearm, expecting it to slip away at the sound of his voice. Quickly looking away from the two of them, Jacob contemplates the irony of the situation and a betrayed feeling settled deep in his chest. He had begun to open to her and Asher had practically witnessed the whole thing. No doubt the two of them would have laughs about it someday, over some book they'd reminisce about the stupid Dentt kid who actually thought he was worth shit.
With a slow breath, Jacob banishes the unwelcome thought away and prepares to leave the two of them alone when Asher greets him coldly, as if an afterthought, even though he was clearly interrupting. "Brennan." A small breeze trickles from the east and settles over the three of them, as if dancing in one swooping gesture with the silence that lay between the three of them.

Sage really didn’t have much to say to the scene unfolding in front of her. No, she simply was more interested in sliding down against the door frame of her friend’s closet and keeping her knees pushed together so that when her bottom touched the floor and her dress rose, nothing inappropriate was showing except the tattoos that spiraled up her porcelain thighs. Taking a spoon from behind her back—don’t question where she got the spoon just accept it—she opened the pack of her chocolate goodness and dived the steel utensil right in. Bringing the oval shaped server to her lips, she focused her chocolatey gaze on Kevyn…and then to Joe..and then to Sam…and back to Kevyn who had taken the liberty to hide her face away. What was this now? Something that made Sage raise an eyebrow in curiosity, especially when she noticed how much Joe was…well…talking, but more than that, her nerdy companion was blushing. Oh now a good friend would simply stay quiet while there were males in the room and wait until later to talk about the little scent that was unfolding…good friends who didn’t like picking on certain friends, that is. Too bad Sage wasn’t that friend. ”Do you hear that? Those are wedding bells.” She commented as she dipped her spoon back into her pudding, her tone just as monotone as usual. Placing the spoon into her mouth, she didn’t even bother to look up to see if her words had an effect on her two companions—not that she had the time to anyway before her phone vibrated in her bosom. Now that was embarrassing…though Sage remained unfazed as she dug her dainty digits into the front of her dress, to retrieve her phone. Dark orbs scanned the text message from Dee and the slightest hint of a frown crossed the introvert’s face. To: Dee From: Sagey This wouldn’t have to do with the commotion downstairs, would it?Once she sent the message, she decided to toy around on her phone for a bit more, popping on twitter only to see Jasmine Anderson there. Sage had to roll her chocolate orbs—something about that girl just didn’t sit right with her. She couldn’t decide if it was the fact that she was a complete idiot who tried to sound smart—or the simple fact…she was a naïve brat. Whatever the reason, Sage didn’t linger too long on the site, her brain cells already taking damage just by communicating with the incompetent creature. As she placed her phone down on her lap and continued to eat her pudding, Sage couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to hand Jasmine one of her homemade explosives, and as she placed a spoonful of pudding into her mouth, a rather devious smirk came across her lips as she realized it would be a most memorable occasion.

After everything died down, Jessie readjusted some of his blankets and went to the ever popular blue cooler to grasp a beer. He needed to get some of the edge off. Since Luna is here he doesn't really want to deal with her completely sober. She's one of those people that are just really difficult to stand sometimes. Especially after they fight and that last one was pretty large. He remembers drawing the crowd at the race as they screamed over each other, he's surprised that she didn't run him over. Probably just lucky Sage was there or she might have. Or at least done at lot worse than toss him his shirt and say that he has crabs. Even trade off he supposed since he called her a cheating whore. Speak of the devil, he saw her staring right at him from a perch on the kitchen island. She did not look pleased. He gulped down the foamy liquid in hopes that she wouldn't come over.

Jacob’s words caught her off-guard, Carmen’s hand slowly removing itself from her forearm. Her eyes focused forward into the darkness of the suburban street, a shaky breath leaving her lips as she closed her eyes with painful recollection. She had never spoken of her past to anyone, not even the various therapists her father had tried to recruit to help mend her broken heart. Cecilia had been her godsend, but even then her scars would probably never heal. Could Jacob really handle all her baggage? The idea was ludicrous in her mind. She would have laughed if not for the immense sadness that squeezed her throat with every breath she inhaled.
Carmen knew she needed to move on, to put the past behind her, but it was much easier in theory than actuality. Just as she was about to answer his question, the intimidating presence of Asher silenced all of her unspoken confessions. The tension that settled over the three of them was suffocating, the importance of her next words not missed on the unsettled beauty. She wasn’t going to run the risk of alienating Jacob or her best friend and possible significant other. She just needed some time to sort her thoughts out. Judging from Asher’s tone something was obviously off in his demeanor. He was trying to feign indifference, but his usual smirk was absent and replaced with frosty vexation. Carmen couldn’t help but feel responsible for this change, and she hated upsetting him. It seemed like an impossible situation, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t try her best to appease them both.

She tilted her head back to smile up at him, her voice choked with noticeable stress. Her viridian irises locked back onto Jacob’s hazel orbs before she squeezed his arm gently a subtle gesture she hoped would communicate her appreciation.
”One day I hope to tell you, Jacob. My past doesn’t mesh well with those carefree girls. They don’t realize how lucky they are. It’s much more complicated than you could possibly realize, but that’s for another time, another place. Don’t be a stranger, okay? I hope we can talk like this again soon.”
Her hand gently removed itself from the toned panes of his muscle as she slowly got to her feet and stood next to Asher snatching the cigarette from between lips in a graceful, fluid motion and placing it between her own. She inhaled a long drag before exhaling a long, steamy tendril from her mouth, the opaque cloud following behind her as the sound of her impressive stiletto heels resounded across the concrete sidewalk. It had been a long time since she had a cigarette, but if the current situation didn’t call for one, she wasn’t sure when it would ever be deemed appropriate. Turning around, she removed the butt slowly from between her teeth, her hand slowly tapping the excess ash onto the ground next to her beautifully manicured feet.
”I don’t normally like smokers, but I suppose I’ll make an exception just this once. I made a promise at the beginning of the night, and I intend to keep it. You coming, love?”
Hopefully Asher could understand that her conversation with Jacob was nothing more than a discussion about their past lives. She had no intention of betraying Jacob’s secrets nor was she trying to flirt with him behind Asher’s back, even if the option was available to her. Carmen just wished things would go back to the way they were this afternoon before her heart and head entered into a disastrous conflict. Time would only tell how each of the men reacted, and hopefully she could keep both of them in her life.
