Chotto!

I am Defy, mod of the Contest section. Here at the contest section, we encourage members to submit their finest works and compete with the best of their ability.

While we do want members to have fun, we do have rules here at the contest section. The rules are as followed:

General
• Under no circumstances are users allowed to wrongfully bash or flame anyone in the contest. Anyone who do does not obey this golden rule will banned from participating in ALL contests on RPGalore.
• At any time, users are allowed to ask questions that concern the current contest but under no circumstances are they allowed to ask the judges who their favorite entry is.

Submitting Entries
• Entering members will follow the instructions posted in the contest thread, and will submit their entry via, PM to the specified judge that will be provided in the contest information.
Note: The title of the PM should be contained “RPGalore Contest Entry: (Enter Contest Name Here). Entries should include the following formation that is provided at the beginning of each contest. By submitting an entry you are stating to the judges that you understand the guidelines.
• If an entry does not fit the guidelines, they will be rejected. Members who submit a rejected entry will be contacted immediately, thus giving them the chance to resubmit their entry for the contest, so long as it’s before the deadline.
• Some members may be encouraged to move their entry into a different category (Beginner/Semi/Advanced) if they meet or do not meet certain requirements to the field they have selected. This is done to keep a fair balance for all users involved.
• All entries must be written specifically for the contest, and not pieces of work you have done in the past.
• Plagiarism is by no means tolerated. If one is suspected of plagiarism, their entry will be put on review not just by the judges but by the entire staff of RPGalore. If plagiarism is proven, you will be banned from any future entries of contest until further notice.
• If you are temp-banned during submissions or during the voting process of a contest, your entry will not be accepted, and you will be disqualified.  You will however, be able to participate in future contests.
• People who have been proved having a second account and thus two entries, will be reported to Administration and banned from all future contests, and are likely to be banned for a number of day from the forum as punishment.
• If an entry has been approved for the voting process, submitters are not allowed to submit again. Each member may only submit one submission per contest.
• Users are allowed to apply any text formatting they wish, so long as the contest entry is readable.

Voting Process
• Entries will be displayed anonymously for the Voting Process. Users are not allowed to tell others which entries are their own, this will result in disqualification.
• Soliciting votes will result in disqualification.
• All votes will be sent over private message to a select judge. If any duplicate accounts are found and used to vote on entries, the user will be disqualified, one of their accounts will be terminated and the remaining account will be banned for a period of days for punishment.
• Comments on the entries are welcomed, but insults or hurtful remarks will not be tolerated. That being said, if you have not sent a vote via PM, and you comment on entries, your comment will be removed.
• Members who have submitted an entry may choose to omit comments; this should be stated in the entry form. Any comments regarding the member’s entry will be quickly removed—negative or positive.
• Participants are allowed to vote for another entry that is not their own. Any member caught trying to vote on their own entry will be disqualified.

The End Result
• After the votes have been counted, judges will select the top three entries and choose a winner. Once the winner is announced, the creators of the other entries are allowed to reveal themselves and respond to the comments left by other users.
Note: Participants may not reveal Defy the Despair has announced the winner if she has not released the info to the public and has only told the participants.
• Announced Winners should PM Queen in order to claim their reward.
Rewards go as followed:
• Winning submission is showcased in the Hall of Fame thread.
• Winner will receive a custom banner to display on their signature of full profile.
• Winner will receive any other stated prize that was promised by the contest creator.
In the event of a tie, the entire staff of RPGalore will discuss in private what will take place. Members should wait patiently for a decision to be made.

If you can follow the rules, we will all be okay and the contest section will be as beautiful as ever!
