[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] No one really knew he was in a band. In fact, half the time they forgot about practice and the fact the group existed. Without Michelle, the entire group would be disorganized and jumbled, only coming together for a couple of drinks or so. They were underground, and although he didn't like it, Matt the suck-up always went on to Michelle on how cool it was to be underground. They did sell out many times during their small gigs, but those were only one hundred seats in a house, nothing too elaborate. "Yeah, me being in a band isn't common knowledge 'round school." The main reason they did not perform at school events wasn't clear to him. He was all for it. But when it came to the fact that only him and Michelle attended Kingdom Crest, it wouldn't be fair for them to perform there and not at the other schools. Plus, the songs that they did were nothing appropiate for school, having all sorts of cusses and suggestive themes in it. "I'd love to play here. But only Michelle and I attend Kingdom Crest, so apparently it isn't fair for us to perform here. Along with that, the music we play isn't school appropriate." He watched as she grazed the keys of the piano with her lithe fingers, a melody coming out of the instrument. The song wasn't something he recognized immediately, it seemed like one of those romantic poppy slow songs he enjoyed to avoid rather to listen to.
Leighton admired the way she played piano, the soft tone of the song was like music to his ears. Even though it didn't seem like a song he'd like, the tone of it seemed generally appealing. He didn't actually realize Sabrina had spoken for a few seconds afterwards, due to the song nearly sucking him in. "Eh? Oh, we usually cover alternative and punk songs. There's the average Japanese or Korean song too, but we most it keep it on the English side."

Asher was getting real tired of Jacob Dentt’s shit, especially so as his thumb hovered over the brightly lit screen of his phone. He never should have joined that social media site. All it ever did was evoke a pulsating annoyance in his temples with a rhythm that was all too consistent. He never really considered himself to be the guy’s enemy, but as time went on and he persisted to harass Carmen, his patience was wearing thin. Dentt was an asswipe, through and through. And Carmen was falling into the web of bullshit that the jackass was weaving. If Carmen hadn’t verified her feelings for him, Asher would have simply dropped the flowers by the door and walked off to his truck as if Carmen had never meant anything to him. He wasn’t going to be a second choice. Ever. Thankfully, that hadn’t happened and Asher found his feet planted by Carmen’s door, awaiting her eventual appearance.
Regardless, Asher still would not be abhorred to punching the supposed Badass in the jaw. Hell, it may even come to that.
Running a paint-bedaubed hand through his disheveled hair, Asher released an exasperated sigh. At least Carmen was worth all the shit he was being pulled into. No one else challenged him or piqued his interest as she had and he couldn’t imagine anyone rivaling her in that department.
Finally, the door opened and Carmen appeared in all of her beautiful splendor and Asher couldn’t contain the natural smirk that appeared on his features. He was never unhappy in her presence and he hoped that wouldn’t change any time soon.
“I thought you might appreciate the expressiveness of my paint-covered self. Very symbolic. Metaphoric, even,” he grinned, leaning against the charming home. It was far nicer than his own, but he couldn’t possibly feel embarrassed. He was content with the way he was living, despite the fact that everyone else seemed to be living in the epitome of luxuriousness. Even Carmen.
He snapped out of his thoughts with startling speed as he heard the word, “daughter”, leave Carmen’s lips. What…? Carmen was a mother? With a daughter? …Well that last part made sense. Most mothers had children, otherwise they wouldn’t be mothers. Asher blinked his azure eyes slowly, trying to come to grips with the new revelation. He never had an inclination that Carmen was pregnant before. Avery had never mentioned it and Avery told him everything. Why wouldn’t she disclose something as consequential as this.
He didn’t know what to think.
Opening his mouth to speak, no words followed. He only stared at the adorable little girl with apprehension, unsure of how to go about the situation. He wasn’t put off, just… surprised to say the least.
Taking a short breath, Asher’s characteristic smirk soon returned. With a newfound feeling of confidence and impromptu acceptance, he knelt down to Cecilia and held the flowers out to her. ”Hm, I brought these flowers here for your beautiful mother, but I think I spy someone who may deserve them a little more,” he winked. ”Pretty flowers for a pretty little girl.”
When the perfect little Cecilia snatched them from his hands, he rose from his stance and nodded as Carmen spoke. ”You really need to stop worrying,” he smiled, his perfect teeth gleaming beneath the sunlight. ”There’s a lot I can handle. This is nothing. Children love me, I told you” His arm snaked around her waist and he pulled her closer. Placing a gentle kiss on her cheek, he moved strands of hair away from her stunning face. ”BesidesI’m not one for running.”

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Issiah found that he must have drifted off to sleep while watching the television with his on—it was never his favorite thing to do, but he tried his best to keep up with the ridiculous cartoons that his son seemed fascinated with. When his eyelids fluttered opened, he came in contact with some type of talking…creature on the television who was speaking about what “true” friendship. Giving the show an eye roll more out of amusement than annoyance, the dreaded male twisted his body so that he could sit his upper torso up and scan the room. When his coffee colored orbs didn’t come in contact with a head full of beautiful brown baby curls, he lifted his entire figure off of the bed and exited the room. It was relatively silent in the rest of the home, the low hum of the refrigerator filling the house while the drying machine rumbled downstairs in the basement. That was a sign to Issiah that his mother was home and no doubt doing her usual chores, which meant that his baby boy had tagged along. “She knows I hate having him down in the basement.”Issiah muttered to himself as she moved further out into the open space of the home to walk across to the kitchen—from there he could reach the basement. By the time he extended his arm and allowed his finger tips to come in contact with the doorknob of the basement door, when he heard a familiar voice. Eyree. He had completely forgotten in that short time span that she had stated she was coming over to cook dinner. But who had happened the door, was the question hat Issiah wanted an answer to. His dreads went from one side to the other as he turned around so that he could catch a glimpse of the “culprit”, only to see the top of his mother’s head bobbing towards the kitchen with Eyree following behind and Adrian at his mother’s side. “Child, now don’t you go messing up my kitchen! Or I’ll have to set fire under your bum!” The thick Trinidadian accent rolled off of the short dark skinned woman’s tongue as she entered the kitchen, her hands on her hips as she swirled around at the last part of her words to wave the towel that she had in her face in Eyree’s direction. Her eyebrows were raised to show that she was serious but a small smile tugged at her lips, a sign that she trusted Eyree enough not to destroy her home. “I’ve got some errands to run now, children. I’m taking my grandson with me and I will be back in a few!”Issiah watched as his son was scooped up with one arm and the towel placed on the kitchen table with the other. There was nothing he could say—and nothing he dared to say as his mother made her way to the back of the house to get herself and Adrian ready to take a trip around town. His eyes only left his mother and son when they were out of his view before his intense gaze switched back over to his favorite person outside of his family. His usually serious expression seemed to transform as a wide and goofy grin broke across his devilish facial feature. “Yeah Eyree, a fire under ya bum!” Issiah teased, trying to mock his mother’s accent—which didn’t prove too hard since he seemed to have the same one, only not as heavy, a person could tell that it was laced with another dialect. | |

Aaron sighed. Michelle was missing the point. "How many times do I have to say that I'm not here to crash your precious book club until you believe me? Have I ever lied to you?" he wiggled his eyebrows and smirked. He thought that Michelle was being her usual serious self until he caught that mischievous spark in her eyes, a spark he knew too well. He couldn't help but widen his grin. He thought of poking her until she admitted he missed him as much as he missed her and his other friends at Kingdom Crest, but he considered the consequences. He had to, even though he didn't usually think ahead, it was Michelle he was dealing with. He decided against it. My unbroken fingers are more important than a confession."Oh aren't we excited that I came?" he chuckled, not because Michelle perked up and looked like a peppy school girl but because of the double entendre in his statement. If Michelle figured out that was the reason behind his laughter, she'd whack him with The Book Thief. "But yes a souvenir, I don't have it on me but I promise you'll love it!" he assured her. Picking out a gift for Michelle wasn't the easiest thing, he wanted to get her something that showed that he wasn't always an arrogant pest and he valued their friendship. "It's not an amalgamation of France and Japan but I'm sure you'll still love it. By the way, I'm not going to tell you what it is yet but you're allowed to guess," he added playfully. "This is a library, what is there to break?" he asked rhetorically. "But as promised, I'll be good!" He gave a thumbs up and motioned that his lips were sealed for as long as he was here. He went a few seats behind the present members of the book club as to not disturb them and in case any new people were coming. "Let's see what's up with twitter," he whispered as he whipped out his phone. Blah, blah, blah.. what's this? He thought as he scrolled down his twitter feed. A burner? He thought, bemused. He opened up their profile and scrolled through their tweets a bit before he came upon an article about a party that happened about a month ago. He quickly scanned through it and a few names jumped out at him. New girl? He watched his screen again to ensure that his eyes weren't playing tricks on him. He looked up at the redhead and back to his screen and then back to her. Interesting... I'll have to ask the others about this at the cafe.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Location: Book Club Wearing: - Spoiler:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Don't worry, your hair colour is marvelous! And you know what they say, blondes have more power," she grinned. "But not more than us redheads." She winked. Delilah listened intently as Tiana continued to talk passionately about hair. Well she is the expert. She thought as she passed her delicate fingers through her crimson tresses. She was glad Tiana treated her hair, sometimes her thick locks were difficult to tame, especially when she was feeling lazy. I blame Kevyn for this. Her fellow ginger got her absorbed into the world of video games to the point where she would neglect her blog, her hair and even Whiskers. Of course she couldn't ignore Whiskers for long because his incessant mewing would get to her until she decided to give him the attention he craved. "You better keep a close eye on her, Sage is a woman of her word," she warned. She knew she didn't have to tell Tiana that, after all, she and Sage were cousins and lived together. Plus, she didn't want anything to happen to poor Noir. She remembered the friendly, raven cat at the sleepover from last night. She brought Noir into the room, well she was actually followed, despite Sage's piercing glares at the cat she let the cat enjoy her company. Eventually Sage's sinuses started acting up so Delilah had to put the cat outside of the room. "If Noir ever needs somewhere to lay low, my house is always open, Whiskers could use a play mate," she suggested enthusiastically. Despite Noir being much older, Delilah thought that she and Whiskers would be perfect playmates. Noir's friendliness and Whiskers' liveliness would be a sight to behold. A cute one at that. "Oh perfect! We'll just meet you there, then."At that moment Delilah felt like someone was staring at her and she whipped her head around to see Michelle's impish friend staring at her, not even trying to hide the fact that he was still staring. Delilah turned back around, she wasn't one for direct eye contact for more that a few seconds. What's his problem? She wondered. Her phone vibrated on the table and she quickly removed the mobile off the wooden table to prevent it from disturbing the others. It was a twitter notification.. from the burner. You have got to be kidding me! She thought as she read the tweet. It was about the events that transpired at the party, with most of the information being wrong. And everyone's just going to eat it up! she thought as she furiously replied to the burner. Just when she thought everyone had forgotten about it, the burner dug it up.

Sam was sprawled across his bed like some form of spineless creature, discarded on the side of the road. Maybe he looked like a snake. Snakes were pretty boss. And badass. A sparkling grin spread across his face. He could never be a badass. He felt like he needed a smaller IQ and a lot more violent ambition. Neither of those qualities were appealing anyhow, so he merely shook his head with a sigh.
The grounded life was a sucky life. If only Diana would loosen the reins and set him free so that he may mingle with his own kind. Smart kids like him didn't get grounded. Oh, well! First time for everything and all that. Turning his head toward the window, he squinted his dark eyes against the bright sunlight that streamed in through the blinds that sheathed his windows. He felt like he hadn't experienced sunlight in years. More like weeks. Or a few days... Nevertheless, being grounded sucked. The sunlight was practically teasing him as it shone in his eyes... beckoning him like some sadistic temptress. "Come to me, Samuel!" it called.
But not really.
Because if sunlight spoke, the one listening should consult a doctor. Namely, a psychiatrist.
He really wished Sage was a faster texter. He was getting gal bored and he seldom felt the need to text anyone else. Only conversations with Sage were ever considered fulfilling. It was probably because she was just as intelligent if not more so than Sam. And she was pretty with eyes that could keep anyone's attention locked on those mysterious orbs. She was funny, too, in an uncomfortable kind of way, but that only made Sam ever more amused. She challenged him, he supposed.
His prayers were answered when his phone vibrated on the pillow beside him and he found himself flipping over to grasp his cellular device in his firm grip. He smiled when her name appeared and quickly opened the message, swiping his index finger across the slick screen. A smile appeared on his adorkable face as he read how she seemed to be playing along. Taking a quick breath as he repositioned himself on his bed, he typed a quick, but well-thought response.
To: Sagey From: Samuel
Ugh, that's no good. I may have to file a restraining order. I only have eyes for my third wife Message Sent.
Laughing at his own words, he cast the phone aside and awaited another reply. It seemed like a boring process... He may just sneak out, after all.

Just as she was about to inquire about his sudden change of mood, he withdrew himself from her and stepped away. It seemed as if something were bothering him, it looked that way. Was it something she said? Was it wrong to invite Dee and Sage? A look of shock crossed over her face, but then it quickly morphed into a look of discontent. She didn't want to bother him, it would be awful of her to do so, considering the fact she invited him over here.
Looking down, Kevyn didn't look into her companion's eyes until he spoke to her on not wanting to make small talk. A look of disbelief took place upon her face. Why in the world was he feeling down? Was he sick? Was he in a bad mood? Was he on his lady times, despite being 100% male? The redhead was just about to ask about it, when Joe moved away and picked up the newest sim game: Island Paradise, the same one she had chucked away. It was nothing she needed, beach stuff was not her forte. "Naw, don't even bother. That game sucks." Walking around the store, she grabbed one of the Zelda games and picked it up. Harley's body flushed with pleasure when she saw Jessi flick her head towards the passenger side. Though she couldn't pinpoint why this movement had come to mean so much to her she still cherished it. It was a sign that the old Jessi was still there. I'm reading into things too much. Harley reprimanded herself as she walked around the back of the car. Opening the passenger door, she stuffed her lean body into the interior. "It's a shame you don't trust my driving. I'm pretty good with my hands." she teased. After pulling the seat belt over her chest, she brought her eyes over to Jess. The musicians skin had a tone to it that wasn't there before: it was darker, more alluring. Jess also seemed to change the gentle features of her face, what before seemed so inviting was now intimidating. She was an overall bad girl. She wasn't the same girl that Harley spent the night with; after both parties. Yet she wasn't all that different. It was a blend of the girl her mother wanted her to be and who she was grown up to be. But Harley felt closer to her. Jess was showing off the 'spunky' side that she had fallen for. The blonde shook her surfer waves, trying to clear her head. She couldn't over think things now. It would add unnecessary tension, and that was the last thing that their relationship needed. Harley brought her eyes down to the screen of her cellphone to distract her. It only took a few seconds for her to hit the Twitter icon and see the updates the Burner had tweeted. Harley's stomach dropped. Her shaking fingers quickly pressed the link that the Burner left. Her eyes quickly scanned the passage until they stopped at her name. In a jealous rage, the bisexual surfer had grabbed the nearest person to swap spit with when she saw that her partner had decided to dance with someone else. And even more say that the three of them went to a more private area and shared a threesome.A groan rose out of her throat as she pulled her hands into her blonde hair, covering her face. Her mind was completely blank as the Burner's words echoed. She had just began to think that she was in the clear. But the Burner had waited until she was most vulnerable to attack. Harley was suddenly thankful that Jess had come to pick her up. She wouldn't have been able to stand it if she had to face this alone. She lifted her hands from her face and turned to Jessi. "The Burner just wrote an article over the party." she said. Her voice was quivering, afraid of how Jessi would react. "And they're starting a rumor that Delilah, you, and I went and had a threesome."Harley steeled herself for the reaction that was sure to come.

Joe walked behind Kevyn to see her eyeing up a Zelda game. His lips then lifted as he imagined Kevyn, poised in front of her TV, playing the game. It was almost sad how clear of a picture he could produce. But, then again, he had been in her room before. He extended his arms from behind her and grabbed the game, snatching it out of her hands to read the back. "Very interesting choice. But, out of all the games in this store, you want this one?" he teased. His mood had began to lift once more since she didn't question his mood swing. In the back of his mind, Joe knew he was probably acting like a sensitive girl. If Sam had been here, he probably would have called him out on it. But this was Kevyn; he wasn't scared to be himself around her. He didn't expect her to tease and taunt him like the rest of his friends did. That was one of the main reasons he felt so close to her. It was also the main reason the he stepped closer to her, so her back was touching his chest. His arms were above her shoulders, still holding the game out. He could imagine that to a simple passerby they would seem like a couple. Was it a bad thing that he was enjoying that?

The tirade of vicious comments that assaulted her Twitter page was enough to set Carmen’s cheeks aflame, her hand instinctively clenching into fists as she imagined Jacob Dentt’s handsome face. If he had been unlucky enough to find himself in front of her, Carmen was positive she would have punched him hard enough to break something, her temples pounding in unison with her thudding heart. Although she should have ignored the burner, Jacob’s false affections in her defense forced a series of smart remarks from her smartphone, her eyes rolling at his attempts of protection. She didn’t need anyone’s help dealing with a pathetic Burner, least of all his. That was all it took to for their furious argument to unfold, her temper overriding her overall sense of reason. At one point in time Carmen wanted to pursue a relationship with Jacob, but his whirlwind of women and sex had pushed her away, the allure of danger an inkling she had long since suppressed from her wilder days. There was no place for her in his world, so she reluctantly decided to remain his friend, occasionally engaging in witty banter and flirtatious repartee with the infamous Bad Ass leader.
However, her feelings quickly began to change as she spent more time around Asher, his uniquely rebellious antics and characteristic sullenness fully captivating her attention. Her feelings for Jacob evolved into a more friendly nature, her romantic intentions solely focused on the other Brennan.
Ultimately the transition wasn’t easy, especially for Jacob, as he admitted to falling in love with her-an emotion she reciprocated, but in a different way. She wanted to be there for him, but Jacob couldn’t fill the place Asher occupied in her heart. As their bickering intensified, Carmen finally allowed herself to let go, cutting Jacob Dentt out of her life completely. He had hurt her, especially with his reference to how fucked up she was. Her father had said the same thing when her mother died, a tragedy he held her responsible for. Twitter only held bad memories for her now, and she had no intentions of going back there, especially after reading Jacob’s interactions with the Burner. Love? The mere idea made her laugh. The only thing Jacob had ever seemed to feel for her was unparalleled lust. Like he said, he made those panties drop.
Her disturbing recollection didn’t last long as Asher crouched down to her daughter’s level, her young face brightening with anticipation. When he offered her the beautiful flowers contained in his grasp, Carmen couldn’t get the faint outline of a smile from tugging at her lips, the first she’d had all day. Cecilia swiftly snatched the flowers from his hands, scrutinizing them closely before a stern look was sent her away and she uttered an excited “tank you!” With an exasperated sigh, the young mother weaved a deft hand through her auburn waves, shaking her head at her happily playing toddler. The presence of Asher’s strong arms around her waist gathered her full attention, her dainty hands framing his perfect cheekbones as he gently kissed her cheek.
”I’m starting to see that, but Cecilia isn’t too hard to impress. It’s keeping her attention that proves difficult. Just wait until she gets tired, then we’ll see how much she really likes you, she joked, her verdant irises carefully studying every inch of his impressive features.
”You can’t blame me completely. Only Avery and Travis know about Celia, and the latter because he was a nosy shit. I can’t hate him completely though, he helps me out…more than I want to admit. You’re taking this so much better than I’d ever expected. We’re only eighteen, but I’ve experienced more than I ever should have. I’ve lost almost everyone I’ve ever loved. I couldn’t help but want to spare you all my problems, but if you’re insistent on staying, I certainly won’t push you away.
Carmen’s petal soft lips drifted across his own, forming into an adoring kiss before she heard the soft, childish giggles of her child. Peeking behind Asher’s arms, she unwound herself from his embrace and rapidly removed the bouquet from Cecilia’s tiny arms, the remainder of a once beautiful, pink rose scattered around her. A lone, blush petal dangled from her mouth, the imprints of her small teeth imbedded into its surface. Crouching down to her level, Carmen quietly reprimanded the child and stuck out her hand, waiting impatiently from Cecilia to spit the moistened foliage into her palm. She gave her bottom a rough pat and scooped the child into one arm and carrying the flowers into the kitchen with the other. Of course, the unhappy sobs of the toddler rebounded across the room, her chubby cheeks glistening with unhappy tears. It was always difficult watching her baby cry, but she couldn’t allow her to ingest flowers. That was simply irresponsible.
Taking a simple crystal vase from the cupboard, she filled it with water and placed the flora inside setting the ravishing arrangement on the table before rejoining Asher. Her eyes flickered to the remaining rose petals decorating her wooden floors, deciding to pick them up later, once Cecilia had settled down.
”I can’t take my eyes off her for a second. Your flowers were lovely by the way. We can both attest to that.” Carmen snuggled her daughter’s soft brown curls, lovingly wiping away the tears that stained her reddened cheeks. ”Thanks, love. I don’t know if you had any plans to go out tonight, but we’ll have an extra guest with us. I’d call Trav to babysit, but I doubt he’ll be able to make it over here on such short notice. He had plans or something. You’re more than welcome to use my shower, though. My dad’s about your size. I can probably round you up some clothes, unless you prefer being a walking painting. I’ll admit it looks good on you. Edgy. Understated. She raised her impeccably arched eyebrows emphatically, shifting Cecilia to her other hip before continuing. ”It’s up to you love. I’ve got lots of fun planned for later. We never did get to have our dance at Frey’s party.”

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] “Let’s not downplay the fact that I have a way with children,” he smirked. “You’re just jealous that I have a certain finesse when it comes to people.” He winked as he ran a lazy hand through the thick of his hair, feeling splatters of paint that had somehow attached themselves to his naturally disheveled locks. His statement was hardly true. Although children did seem to have a fondness for him, dealing with persons around his age was more than irksome for Asher. Everyone wanted to complain about his or her lives or start an unnecessary frenzy of drama. All of which, he loathed listening to. He preferred private people, those who kept an air of mystery surrounding them. It was refreshing to converse with someone who did not advertise the secrets of their pitiful lives on social media or prattle on during conversations. That was the very reason he seldom made connections with other people.
Asher may have had brief romances with girls prior to Carmen, but he never opened up to them nor did he truly seek their companionship. They always flocked to him, craving his attention when the feeling was far from mutual on Asher’s behalf. In a way, it was rather pathetic that these girls begged for his approval when he showed no sign of desiring any form of commitment. He felt empathetic towards them and ended things on a usually somber note. It was not the usual “It’s Not You, It’s Me” speech. Instead, he spoke to them in a manner that was shockingly blunt and usually resulted in disappointment for the girls. By the time they showed signs of tearing up, Asher was out of there in a heartbeat.
All that changed, however, once Carmen came into play. She captured his attention in a way that no other girl had before. He respected the mysterious air she possessed and her natural beauty and the way she coyly interacted with him. Her confidence and respect for self-preservation were what attracted Asher and he would be lying if he claimed that he was not hooked from the very start.
It seemed that the existence of Cecilia was the very reason that Carmen was the mysterious, confident girl he was utterly drawn to. As strange as it seemed as he mulled it over in his rapidly operating mind, the fact that Carmen had a daughter did not deter him form wanting to be with her. He would want to be with her despite whatever baggage she tossed in his path and he would accept her as she was. What kind of person would he be to view Carmen differently when she had finally decided to disclose her secrets to him? It did not change who she was; She was still the Carmen that he cared deeply for and the fact that she was willing to indulge in her private life made Asher respect her more. She was remarkably tough for a teenage girl with a baby. He liked tough.
He only wished that he had been in the know sooner and that Travis and Avery had not beat him to her secrets. But it was what it was. And he highly doubted that Carmen was capable of ever pushing him away. He merely nodded in response, raising an eyebrow in question. Whatever you say, Carm. I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.
Asher’s pale eyes remained fixed on Carmen as she interacted with her daughter, watching as she held the girl so lovingly. She was a good mother, or so it seemed. A gentle smile tugged at the corner of Asher’s lips and he crossed his arms over his chest. He stifled a chuckle as the flowers were taken from Cecilia, who appeared to be attempting to dine on them. He never would understand why children put everything in their mouth. It was just so strange and foreign to him and that he struggled to comprehend how well Carmen seemed to be fairing.
“No plans. Kind of an impromptu visit, since you’re the one who texted or tweeted me. Whatever. Being a painting ain’t so bad. It’s empowering, like I am a walking piece of art. You obviously dig it,” he chuckled, uncrossing his arms as he advanced on the pair with his nonchalant gait. “Besides, wearing your Old Man’s clothes seems weird. I’ll pass.” When Carmen mentioned about the fun she had planned later, a knowing smirk graced his ever-handsome features, his teeth gleaming beneath the lights of the room. “I like the sound of that.”

As the bell rang, Arun stretched and waved people off as he packed everything up. He didn't have any after school activities to speak of today but he didn't want to go home just yet. His house reeked of drugs that grow from the ground. Everything except cocaine that would be stored in Luna's room. Though he doubts it, from what he has observed the female has been doing quite well he just has to deal with some freezing from when she stands in front of the freezer to relief the urge to relapse. What could he do to distract himself? Let's see it's the book club meeting so that means Aaron will be sneaking in to bother Michelle and the others. He should probably go in and see what is going on in there. He sometimes sits in the back and listen into the conversation. It helps him with ideas on reading material. Shifting his backpack up he went on his way to the library to settle into the back right fairly close to his chum. Leaning up a little bit he caught a glimpse of what they were discussing. The Book Thief...He's never really heard of it, should be interesting. If there is one thing that he enjoys in this world, it's learning new things and gaining more knowledge. It seems that he is the only one who believes that to be one of the greatest pleasures on this earth. He just wish he had someone who was more normal to be a house mate with, which is why he's glad his sister is keeping clean so that if a word gets breezed through the halls she can have results of sobriety and a lie detector stating that she doesn't use posted all around. More of her mystery main dealer than herself. Thank the higher power that she is yet to reach the point where she stops caring about those around her and can see that her actions affect others as well as herself.

A small smirk spread across Jessica’s full lips at the tone of Harley’s voice. She was teasing her, or at least so she thought. Jessica just thought of it as a way Harley could control whatever emotions she was feeling at the moment, something she assumed to be nervousness. Casting her chocolate orbs over to the pretty blonde that sat beside her, Jessica allowed herself to do a quiet observation, starting at the top of her golden tresses and scanning downward to her soft facial features. For some odd reason she had the urge to extend her arm out so that her fingertips could lightly caress the soft skin that seemed to be so alluring to Jessica. It was a beautiful tone, much lighter than hers but it was just as flawless—well her face was since the rest of her body was wrapped up in bundles of clothing. Jessica let out a soft snicker at Harley’s appearance—not because she thought the get-up was distasteful, she just found it funny that everyone seemed to bundle up so tightly and then there were a few who barely wore any clothes at all during this time of year. Either way, Jessica found it amusing as she put the car into drive and eased her foot off the brake and onto the accelerator, pulling away from the curb. For the most part, the drive was silent and that was nothing unusual with being the in car with Jessica—she always seemed to get lost in her own thoughts when it was just her and the asphalt road. As she exited Harley’s neighborhood by making the familiar right turn, her eyes darted over to her passenger. She was going to start up a conversation but once she saw that Harley was indulging herself with her phone, the ebony female opted to staying quiet. Where the hell am I going? Jessica thought to herself as the car drove along the paved road as if she wasn’t the one steering it. She knew where she wanted to go—to the bar…or to pick up a delivery from Issiah, but she didn’t want to interrupt anything that he had going on, especially with his son around. Though as she looked at the clock on the dashboard, her gut knotted up. Once she returned to Kingdom Crest, things had changed tremendously. Not only was she still participating in the underground racing, but now that her affiliation with her former gang was back on the market—Jessica had been placed in charge of supplying dealers with their product—and if she caught another person trying to move in on her territory, she was supposed to report it. That thought made her chuckle aloud, everything was organized and ran so smoothly—yet it was a filthy business that she didn’t truly want a part of…it just seemed to allure her like the drugs she supplied lured the dealers and the dealers lured in the users. Taking a deep breath and exhaling, Jessica opted out on the decision—she could always go later…she didn’t want to drag Harley into something. Especially since she knew that Harley was a rather nosy individual, and right now with their relationship strained—she didn’t want the surfer girl to try and pry into her life...not just yet. “Hey, how does a shopping spree sound to you?” What girl didn’t like shopping? What’s more, what girl didn’t enjoy free shopping? It was the least Jessica could do to keep Harley occupied and it seemed that it was the best option to spend time together without really having to say too much. Turning her attention to her passenger, a smile was plastered on her lips but it quickly diminished when she noticed the groan that protruded from her mouth. ”Or not...” Was her response to the groan. Turning her attention back to the road, she realized that it wasn’t the shopping spree that upset her, but the Burner. Jessica rolled her dark hazel orbs in annoyance. She had left for one month and it seemed that the Burner had left with her—but now it was back and stirring up chaos. ”Oh please. If anyone wants to believe that shit, then let them. It’s over, it’s done. We know what happened, Delilah knows, and everyone with fucking common sense knows. The burner just needs to move on with life and get over whatever grudge they have against the school. Fuck, they need to switch that motivation into knowing everyone’s business into something positive—like growing the fuck up. Now. Shopping spree or not?”

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
She had gotten into her car by now, locking herself in with the seatbelt and letting the engine roar to life after she placed the key in the ignition. There was something about the sound of her beast coming to life that made her smile…or maybe it was just the fact that her phone vibrated in her lap and she saw Sam’s name cross the screen. No, this was not her and she refused to be this giddy female who couldn’t control her emotions. If she had a crush on Sam, then it would either pass or just grow…and as her fingers ran across the touchscreen and unlocked her phone so that she could read the message…it was obvious to her that it was just growing. To: Samuel From: Sagey Oh? Tell that to your other two—I don’t think they will take the news too well.Once the message was delivered, Sage had made up her mind—she was going to bust Sam out. Shifting the gear stick into drive, she backed out of the parking lot and made her way out of the school’s property. She should have turned left so that she could make her way to the café where she had promised to meet everyone…and then to the mall where Kevyn was waiting. But she didn’t want to intrude there, not really—not when Kevyn and Joe were there together, that would ruin their time together. No, instead of turning left Sage turned on her right turn signal and eased the jet-black beauty out onto the not so busy street. It took her no time to get to Sam’s home—well a block away from Sam’s home. She didn’t want his mother to hear or see her car, that would ruin her plan. She sat there, parked on the side of the road, her eyes straight ahead as she thought about her strategic plan. She was wearing shorts but with sheer stockings so climbing a tree might damage the fragile material. A smirk crossed her face at the thought, when did she ever care about ripped stockings? That was her style and she had ripped plenty off of…no now her mind was just wandering. Opening the car door, she stepped out after unhitching herself and turning off the car. Placing the key into her back pocket, she stepped out and closed the door behind her. With an steady pace, she walked the block that led her to Sam’s home and her eyes locked onto his bedroom window. Her chocolate orbs moved from the window to the tree that was led right up to his room, which was a good thing…Sage would have hated to blow up any part of his home—that was just rude. As silently as possible—which wasn’t hard for Sage—she walked into his yard near the side where his room was. Standing in front of the tree, Sage allowed herself to tie her hair back with the scrunchie that Tiana had provided her with. Ever since her cousin had moved in with them, Sages’s hair was more manageable than ever since Tiana restored her natural waves. Now Sage took pride in wearing her hair out, but now was the time to pull it into a loose ponytail. Without hesitation, she began her climb, making sure to find the proper footing as she slowly climbed up as silently made her way up, only peeking into the lower part of the house to see where Sam’s mother was. She saw her moving about downstairs, but oblivious that someone was actually in her tree—quiet stalkerish once Sage thought about it. Shrugging her shoulders, she let out a soft grunt as she continued the trek up the tree. Once she reached the branch closet to Sam’s window, she tested it by placing one foot...then another. Knowing that it was stable, Sage slowly stretched out her body, showcasing her usually hidden attractive figure until she was close enough to reach out and tap the bedroom window loud enough to make her guru companion curious as to what the sound was.

A rather musical laugh escaped Tiana’s parted lips at Delilah’s words about her raven haired cousin. It was true, Sage was a girl of few words and when she spoke on a matter that involved action—it always happened. But Tiana knew that even behind those bright emotionless eyes laid a girl with a soft spot for a few people, and luckily that included Tiana. The sheer thought of triggering Sagey’s bad side made a tingle slither down the ballerina’s spine. ”Oh trust me, I know. But luckily I can buy her off with tea and clothes. But I’m sure Noir would love to spend the night with Whiskers from time to time.” They way that they were speaking, it would seem as if they were setting up to children for a play date to someone who didn’t know about either of their cats. But to Tiana, Noir was her child, her best friend, the only good memory she had left from her previous life. It was no secret that she cherished Noir, perhaps more than any other human being. Well...almost every human being. As the thought crossed her mind, her eyes instantly drew themselves to her phone, hoping that it would light up to show that she had a response from the one person that she enjoyed talking to the most since her move here—Travis. When it didn’t show any signs of life, a soft huff escaped her plush lips and she folded her arms underneath her chest. Oh well, at least she knew that he was waiting for her—which only made her tap her foot against the floor impatiently. Her orbs roamed over to her best friend Michelle and even though she was happy to see her having such a fun time…well this meeting was over in Tiana’s mind. Clearing her throat as she placed her hands on the table, Tiana scooted the chair back just enough so that she could stand. Gathering the book that Michelle had given her along with her kitten filled notebook, she allowed her strong legs stand the rest of her body up. There wasn’t anything going on here now, and although she had the façade of being a patient individual—she was not. Staying grounded in one place without doing something, always caused her to move on to the next. With a smile on her face, she gave Delilah a nod as she extended one hand so that she could let her finger tips glide against the fiery tresses. “Alright, I’m going to head over now and maybe afterwards you can go to your place and get Whiskers and bring him over? Another nice slumber party? I can teach you how to treat your hair in the morning so it will look like this every day.”Her hand dropped from Delilah’s hair so that it could help her full arm support the heavy notebook. Turning her gaze to Michelle, she flashed her contagious smile before maneuvering around the people that had flocked to their vicinity. Once she reached the door, she through everyone a friendly wave before walking out, closing the door behind her. There was an echo in the hallway from that, causing her to allow her sterling grey orbs look in one direction and then the other, seeing that there was hardly a soul in the hallways. “Hm.” Was all she said before she removed her dancer body away from the door and walked toward the exit that led to towards the student parking lot. Her eyes caught a glimpse of the end of raven locks exiting the exit she was heading for, and there was no doubt in her mind that they belong to her geeky cousin, Sage. Naturally she wanted to run after her and tell her to wait for her (Tiana wasn’t allowed to drive yet—she didn’t have license…who did in New York) but today she knew that her ride was with someone else…though it made her curious as to why her cousin left her, she was certain she hadn’t informed Sage as of yet that she had. Ah well, there was only one thing to do now, and that was wait—and so she did. Once she reached the door of the exit, she rested her hands against the push bar, just enough to open the door partially but light enough to keep it closed as she peered out the small window. Her dainty digits tapped lightly against the bar as she looked one way and then another, waiting for her oh so mischievous companion.[/center]

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] She raised an eyebrow. When had he lied to her? "Well, I may not have actual proof you're a serial liar, but I do know that your devilishly handsome self cannot stay out of trouble." The glint in her eyes was still there, but her face still remained unmoving. She drummed her fingers on the library table and thought. The book club shouldn't keep going, there was nothing really to do but introduce the book to the club and assign them work on it. Michelle took out her notebook and began writing the assignment she needed them to do with the book. 'Pick out three characters you know will be important later on.' A note in blue pen - her trademark.
She was shot out of the world of assigning and into the world of Aaron's gross mind when she heard the double meaning of his statement. "You are honestly the worst guy I know, Descartes." She rolled her eyes and continued tapping on the library table with her long, polished fingernails. Hearing that he didn't have the gift on him, her curiosity arose, but her excitement dimmed. If he didn't have it on him, there was no need to be so anxious.
Her excitement dimmed more once she heard it was not a France-Japan combination. Then what in the world WAS IT? A new pen? She needed that. A skirt? Not on her list of nessecities, but he probably didn't know her size anyways. A jacket? She needed a leather one.. Nothing really jumped out of her mind as a potential Aaron gift. Either way, she'd be getting something. Michelle stopped thinking about it and continued conversing with her friend. Waving a hand in his direction, the Jap scoffed. "You'd find a way to break something, that's for sure." The door opened, and in came Arun Barker, a kid who was young and the nicest one of the Barker siblings. "Hello, Arun." She greeted him with a wave. Looking over to her best friend, Michelle waved a hand towards her when she started to pack up. "Go ahead, meeting's adjourned. Just try to read some of the book, and pick three characters you think will be important later on." She didn't think her voice was heard, so she sent a simple text to the dancer. From: ミシェル (Michelle)To: ティアナ (Tiana) If you didn't hear me, I said to read some of the book and pick three characters you think will be important. Have a nice time at your outing. ^^
Looking up, Michelle signed and waved a hand towards Dee and Arun. "Huns, you can go out or whatever, just make sure to read the book and pick three characters you think will be important later on." Standing up, she grabbed her book and looked at Aaron. "So, where are we going now?"

A somewhat full rattle meant that it was probably that CD set she wanted for her birthday. It would be a crime to not have this on her game shelf. Taking out the money from her pocket, Kevyn glanced at the game's price tag. 40$. Great. She was only fifteen short, maybe she'd find money somewhere? Then again, she was a part of the Power Up Rewards. A second tag said that for her, the game would be 10% off. That would mean that it was now 36$ dollars, she was still short eleven.
Sighing and about to turn around to Joe, Kevyn felt someone's chest touch her back and arms land on her shoulders. It was undoubtedly Joe, but Kevyn was still a bit surprised at the boldness of it. Shrugging it off, Kevyn turned around so that her chest touched his and she was making eye contact in order to speak."Zelda is something I'd always want. Even in this moment, when I have eleven dollars short of the price."

Delilah laughed quietly at the thought of Sage being bribed. It seemed unconventional but as Delilah became good friends she realised that tea and clothes were one of the quickest ways to Sage's heart, if done right. Delilah was delighted that she found Whiskers a playmate, although she felt slightly silly about being this ecstatic because she treated her kitten like a child. I feel like those people in those reality shows. She groaned. When her mother was home, Delilah always caught her watching the most ridiculous reality shows. She'd join her out of boredom and to make fun of the people who thre parties and weddings for their pets. I just hope I don't get as bad as them. She shuddered at the thought of wasting money on such trivial things that pets didn't really care about. "Sure thing," Delilah smiled, she wouldn't mind another sleep over. "That would be so great! My hair is in need of some serious TLC." She checked her phone again as the screen lit up with a twitter notification once more. The burner. She sent another reply, one that didn't show her anger, she didn't want the burner to get the upper hand. Again. She thought back to Tiana's invitation and thought that bringing Whiskers over might not be such a good idea since her raven-haired friend had been sneezing all day due to allergies. "About bringing Whiskers over, I don't think..." her voice trailed off as she realised that Tiana left and the meeting was adjourned. She looked around. Most of the other students in the meeting had left as well, except for Michelle and her friend. Also, a quiet boy she met on one other occasion. He and Luna are related? she mused. She wasn't the only one this shocked. Arun and Luna were polar opposites, the last two people you'd expect to be related. Her thoughts went back to Tiana and her invitation. To: Tiana From: DeeI don't think bringing Whiskers might be a good idea... Sage's allergies and all. Rain check?Speaking of the raven-haired Guru, she probably left the school already. I better get going too. Don't wanna be late! She clutched the book against her chest with one arm and held her phone in that same hand. She left her hand bag in her car because she didn't think she'd really need it while she was at the meeting. She waved her remaining peers good bye as she made her way to her cerulean car. She tossed the book and her phone onto the passenger seat as she got in. Delilah remembered that she was the one who was in that passenger seat, for the first time ever, about a month ago, the chain she wore that night was still there. "Hmm.." she mumbled as she reflected on everything that happened that night. Come to think of it, she hadn't seen a certain self-proclaimed heart breaker in a while. To: Dreck From: DeeYou seem to be keeping busy these days, haven't seen you in a while. How's my knight in shining armour? She placed her phone back on the passenger seat before starting the car and driving out of the nearly empty parking lot.

The two gorged themselves for awhile. Both are athletic and growing, a classic mix up for a never ending stomach. In the end, the polished off a pizza (pepperoni with extra cheese), four cheeseburgers, three large fries, at least a two liter of soda, a grilled chicken parmesan sandwich each and all of the free samples. Cleaning himself up, Dreck stretched to help the digestion process while the boy followed suit. He hasn't eaten like that in awhile, and that was with his entire team. Maybe instead of boxing he should train Jake to be a competitive eater. Now that will make him some bank. But than of course with fighter the groupies are into less disgusting stuff and are usually a lot hotter. Besides he's getting paid for the first and more healthy activity. He believes it to be more of a joy as well but that's just his opinion. "Come on kid, time to walk it off." He claps, there is no room for gluttony while in training. They might even go for a brisk run after leaving. There is no room for a second round of a full fledged workout session. Don't want to shed all of the fat or throw it up. Besides he knows that the kid will do solo training after he's dropped off. The child's good about that stuff. Walking around the mall to see if there was anything of use there. But of course it was all girl stores about clothing and horrible smells. The only things even remotely interesting was a stand that sold massage/acupuncture patches and sandals. Then of course there was the sword store, that was pretty cool. Both soon got frustrated and left in a jiff. Going to the tan car they drove off without another word. Unlike many of the students who seem to be trapped in a Fast and Furious daydream, Dreck is actually a very good driver. Especially cautious with Jake in the car. It would be one thing if he got in a crash and hurt himself but seeing a helpless kid laying there, injured and bloody. Or anyone really that isn't in the ring, now that's unforgivable. He's just being rough on himself obviously. The anniversary of his blackout is coming out. He squeezed the wheel until his knuckles turned pale as he shook the memory. This wasn't the time for grievance. To feel the tender flesh under his knuckles. See his hand grip on the thick log and bashing the skull until it snaps. To know that it was all wrong, he was taking it too far. The shame of knowing it was all a lie far to late. The dead was done, his role as golden boy was finished. Pulling into his parking lot, he was amazed that they didn't crash as he shoved it aside and switched into something he could move easier in. It was time to run the trainee home. He wasn't going to let all that food go to waste. They are going to burn calories before they turn into fat. This routine is just so that nothing is lost. Hearing a ping he glances down to read the text from Delilah. To: Deedee From: Dreck Sorry sweetness. I got a gig training someone for that junior boxing match coming up soon. Got a real winner on my hands why don't you come be our good luck charm? Feeling a bit better he tucks the device in his pocket he went out on a jog until the younger was pretty tuckered out than took the other to his house.

Joe felt Kevyn's petite body turn around under his arms. In a few moments, her eyes were gazing directly into his. A smile displayed on his features--as it always did when she looked at him. He liked the fact that when Kevyn looked at something, she was most likely giving it her complete attention. Joe had gotten so used to being around Sage, who was always thinking about something else, that Kevyn's intensity refreshed him. "Zelda is something I'd always want. Even in this moment, when I have eleven dollars short of the price." she said. If she talks like that about Zelda, how would she talk about someone she loved? he thought to himself. It was only a passing thought, but it was quickly followed by the image of her saying his name with the same passion. A small blush crept up from his chest and into his cheeks consequently. Joe brought his hand up to play with a small strand of red hair that was stray from the rest. He let silence fall between them as he twirled the lock of hair between his fingers. For some reason, in that exact moment, he had felt closer to her. Closer than he ever had before. His eyes darkened when they met Kevyn's again, only to travel down to her lips. It would be so easy. he thought to himself. Instead, Joe dropped his hand from Kevyn's hair and studied the game. It was only $40. Joe had been playing his guitar in public for the last few weeks, gaining a small fortune when he added it to the allowance his parents granted him. $40.00 would barley break his bank. "I'll buy this for you," he said to Kevyn. "But only if you buy me lunch." Joe, not waiting for her reply, quickly went to the counter to purchase the game. When he handed over two twenties, he looked back and winked at his red headed friend. Sage was the last thing on his mind.

"I bet that's how you're going to describe me in your book, huh?" he grinned. He missed Kingdom Crest and his friends as well. Teasing Michelle was always one of his favourite things to do, and she made it more entertaining when she would attempt to burst his bubbles, much to her annoyance most of the time. Good thing I'm not really part of this club, it's like English Literature all over again! Aaron groaned. It's not like that he didn't like it, contrary to popular belief he did - how else does an actor remember their lines? But adding work to something that's supposed to be fun seemed like too much. "I think you pronounced 'best' incorrectly," he winked. So much for not wanting me to disturb YOUR book club! he smirked. "I feel as if you don't have faith in me, plus we're in the library, the most I can break is a vase or something," he huffed and folded his arms and looked away from her. "Hey Tyler, long time no see, man," he said to his buddy who also decided to crash the book club. Aaron was one of the few people to call Tyler by his first name because Arun was too close to Aaron's own name. Arun didn't seem to mind so he kept calling him by his first name. If he had a problem he'd say so right? "Go ahead. Meeting's adjourned." Aaron's ears perked up at the sound of those magical words. "Aww, already?" he asked with a pout. Internally, he was happy, he wanted to go to the cafe and gorge on some real food. For an athlete, Aaron had a poor diet. It was usually a doughnut here or a cheeseburger there, but generally not too much junk. Of course, he only ate that way when he wasn't home, his retired pro-athlete father would give him a disapproving gaze if he found out. "Some great timing you have huh, bud?" he laughed. "I gotta go with Michelle, she couldn't resist asking me out the minute I came back," he whispered, not wanting Michelle to hear him, she'd kill him on the spot. "But you can swing by my place later and we can hang." He got up and went to accompany his tanned friend. "To the place that sells the best coffee in town, of course."

Harley's eyelids fell down in a slow blink as she absorbed everything Jessica had said. She agreed, but would have never had enough courage to say the words herself. When Harley realized that Jess was suddenly intent on going on a shopping spree, the blonde nodded her head. "Uh...yeah. Sure." she said, then smiled. Just as easy as that was the burner forgotten and replaced with images of the two of them shopping together. A smile pulled at her lips. Her blue eyes fell over what Jessica was wearing. Their fashion taste were completely opposite, which would result in the two of them not liking the same clothing stores. Harley began to think that shopping might not be a good idea. It felt as if there was tension between them already, and she didn't want to add any opportunists for the tension to increase. However, this was the first moment they had shared since the party, and she wasn't going to let a small bump get into the way. Speaking of tension: it was starting to become unsettling. When silence settled between the two of them, it always seemed that their minds were distant. Thoughts were not shared, for each girl was thinking something completely different. Harley pulled the skin of her inner cheek between her teeth as she tried to think of a conversation to have while they traveled to the mall. After a few moments, she decided to just let the silence run it's course. She was content with the silence, but upset over the distance it placed between the two of them. Deciding to go out on a whim, Harley let her hand move from her lap to a spot of Jessi's thigh. It wasn't too close to her waist to be considered perverted, but close enough to be more than a simple show of friendship. She kept her eyes ahead, avoiding eye contact completely. Harley had already steeled herself for two outcomes: her hand being rejected, and her hand being accepted. Her heart fluttered with hope that it might be the latter.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Time seemed to stop as she stayed there close to him. It wasn't as if she liked him, if she did she'd have no chance at all. Kevyn wasn't up for the gut-wrenching feeling of the friend-zone, no one was. It would be pure masochism if she did, and Kevyn was pretty sure that she could not handle the ups and downs of it. Or, plain downs. Pondering her current situation, Kevyn was shocked when a hand reached up to her hair and started playing with it. It was obviously Joe, but she was startled nonetheless."Uhm, Uh. Huh?" Kevyn looked up at Joe's face and laughed when he said he'd buy the game for her in exchange for lunch."If you want to. But I only have twenty dollars, so maybe we'll have to dine in cheap." She watched as he moved over to the counter and paid with forty dollars. So he had that much money this entire time? Kevyn winked back and walked up to the counter, hands in her pocket."Thanks for paying, dude." She smiled widely and reached out with her arm, linking it through his. "Now, what do you want to eat?" Dragging him outside the store, she lingered outside with him to decide where to eat. "I'm up for anything Oriental or Italian."

The flirting back and forth between one of the other Misfits in the room and his friend was all quite enjoyable. It's funny really, the largest clique gets the most downfall while the smallest is able to act as though they rule the world. But of course the self proclaimed "queen" might go completely and utterly insane if she didn't have all the power during her high school career. For many people, that seems to be everything. No way to live at all if you ask Arun. He was making good use of sitting back and watching the activities around him. He so did enjoy how little all the clubs meeting have to do with the activity and how everyone is much more focused on socializing. Oh, what fun this school is. He would be quite content if he stayed but there was no need to keep his hopes up. He chuckles as everything was coming to an end quickly. Why is it that he always arrives towards the end of things. 'Gotta get your head out of the clouds Barker boy.' He demands silently as he turned his attention to the greeting. "Yes, you did pull a little disappearing act for a while there." He smiles, he wasn't a smirk-er or a teaser as his sister was. She has a quip for anything but he just feels as though that's not right. That and when he tries to be rude it's all so ridiculous that he just cracks up and most people just belief he's being silly. As predicted the ending come all too soon. Stretching up out of the chair, he reached for his backpack though he wasn't in all that much of a rush. There was no real place for him to go. He didn't feel like going to any of the typical hang out spot for the students since they all just felt a bit crowded. He could go to the beach or woods? Yeah those would be cool, better than his house where his parents are doing who knows what or where. He shook at the idea, not wanting to know. "Oh right, absolutely fabulous." He chuckles. getting snapped out of his thought process. He nods, raising his eyebrows in an 'I bet' sort of way. He sidestepped out of the way since he was blocking the shortest way as he lifted up his hand. He shrugs as he left. Well that plan backfired. Time to just walk. Standing in the front entrance he pointed in some random direction and just continued forward.

Sabrina nodded quietly at this new information, a few strands of hair slipping out of her loose ponytail as she did so, falling liquidly to frame her angular face. The song finally came to a close and she lifted her long tan fingers from the keys, gripping the edge of the stool and leaning forward. She focused her silver eyes on Leighton, taking in the tilt of his jaw, the fall of his unruly dark hair. She was sure that the subtle edge to his voice as he described the music he and his group played was the true fire of passion. It was admirable this fierce love he had of music. But, by the sounds of things, it was his band members that were pulling him back from truly achieving passion. Sabrina knew better than anyone the desire to keep one's art close. A little piece of one's heart and soul went into each piece of art, whether that be one of her paintings, a dancer's recital, or one's music. The very idea of baring that piece of heart and soul for all to see was beyond terrifying. Though those were probably her sentiments. Not Leighton's. She offered him a small grin, flashing her white teeth briefly. "Well it sounds fascinating. A very interesting blend, certainly," she assured, tucking her wayward hairs behind her ears. "You really should consider playing at the Valentine's dance coming up. Band or not. I'm sure no one would mind a charming British boy playing guitar on stage." Here she offered a slow, suggestive wink. She slowly came to stand, stretching out her long frame with relish. "It would be a welcome reprieve from all the sugary pop and insipid lyrics that they tend to play at these sort of dances. Unless... you aren't going to the dance," Sabrina finished, blinking languidly. The mention of the dance brought a new wave of thoughts on, ones she tried to dismiss. She had been approached months ago, the yearbook requesting her photography prowess for the dance. While couples enjoyed themselves, she would be pacing around, photographing and immortalizing the moments, both the good and the bad. She had a sudden urge to ask Leighton to the dance, to being trying to put behind her all the unresolved feelings she had for Travis and the complete mess she had made of their relationship. At the same time, she knew it would be unfair to ask anyone to be her date when she would be completely and wholly invested in photographing the evening. She sighed forlornly in her head, silver gaze falling down to the ivory keys to hide the tumultuous thoughts in her head. "Well, I've disturbed your practice long enough. Besides, I'm sure Michelle will be very angry with me for missing the Book Club meeting, especially after being gone for so long. I guess I'll see you later, Leighton." She smiled and waved, delicately descending from the stage. She grabbed her book bag and camera from where she had left them in the auditorium. She glanced back once, waving over her shoulder at Leighton as she quietly dismissed herself from the room. She supposed she should find Max and take him home after all, since she was obviously not going to the Book Club meeting now.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Flatter? As if. She was just telling the truth. It wasn't to be taken as a compliment or an insult. It was to be taken as an opinionated statement. Most athletic people are good looking, but then came common flaw of them being the dullest lightbulbs out there. "Yes. I'll describe you as Aaron Descartes - ultimate athlete and Lothario. Sharpest crayon in bed, but not in the box." She giggled to herself after reciting the wordplay.
When he claimed that she meant he was the best guy she's ever known, Michelle waved a finger while she rolled her eyes. "When have you known me to say things that I don't mean?" She said in her 'tone,' the one that she reserved for both annoying kids and annoying teens.
Michelle raised up from her seat, picking up her book. "The 'most' you could break is the entire school." More like the most he could destroy, she thought to herself. Although Aaron was lithe and agile on the track field, his mischievous ways were not to be suppressed. But she shouldn't talk, she was clumsy at times as well.
"Yes already. This is what you wanted, wasn't it?" Michelle watched as Arun stood up to leave. "Some great timing you have huh, bud?" She heard Aaron say. However, he whispered another thing so quietly that she couldn't hear. But knowing Aaron, it was most likely some kind of sneaky little joke or pun, about her, she inferred. If it weren't, why be so discreet about it?
Rolling her brown eyes once again, Michelle flipped her hair over her shoulder and sighed. She wasn't going to get coffee from the Cafe' - not today, anyways. Today was tea day - green tea. Along with that it was her turn to cook at home, and she was making takoyaki balls. Her siblings hated it, she loved it, and her mothers were impartial (as long as she cooked). So she needed to pick up ingredients from the market. That meant that she could only spend about 2 hours (a bit more or less) with Aaron at the Cafe."Yeah, well I have to go to the grocery store around 6, and be home around 6:30. If I stay out later than 6 - it's your fault."
